Mama Said (Metallica Song)
"Mama Said" is a country rock ballad by American heavy metal band Metallica from their sixth album, '' Load'', with personal lyrics by James Hetfield and music by Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. Music video The music video for the song features James Hetfield sitting in the backseat of a car while playing the song on an acoustic guitar. The vehicle appears to be driving along a Southwestern highway, and at one point the other members of Metallica are seen outside looking into the window as it passes by. As the song comes to an end, the view pulls back to reveal that Hetfield has been sitting in a stationary backseat inside a studio (probably what was used to film the vehicle scenes and only to make an appearance at end as there are brief appearances of what would be the front seat and windscreen while driving from the driver and passenger's perspective). He then walks over to a horse, takes its bridle, and walks off screen. It was filmed in November 1996 in London, England and directe ...

True Spirit (Carleen Anderson Album)
''True Spirit'' is the debut solo album by American singer and musician Carleen Anderson, released in 1994. The album includes four UK Top 40 singles: "Nervous Breakdown" (No. 27), "Mama Said" (No. 26), "True Spirit" (No. 24) and "Let It Last" (No. 16). Critical reception ''The Guardian'' noted that "big ballads like 'Only One for Me' and 'Secrets', all strings and heavy breathing, are so pompous that even this fine singer can only coast along." In a retrospective review for AllMusic, Tom Demalon describes Anderson's voice as "warm" and "soulful" and that the album "succeeds in drawing on older R&B vibes and making them sound fresh." He went on to say that the lyrics are "literate and sophisticated", adding that "''True Spirit'' is a gorgeous album that constantly draws in the listener, both musically and spiritually." In 2012, Virgin Records released an expanded, double-disc version of the album with a number of remixes and bonus tracks. Critical reception "Rather than synthesizing his influences in a way that allows him some personal expression," wrote Elysa Gardner of ''Rolling Stone'', "Kravitz seemingly aims to acknowledge as many of them as he can in the course of an hour; the result is a rather disjointed album that lacks freshness and distinction. Kravitz continues to demonstrate a talent for crafting a ...
