Maalamaal
''Maalamaal'' () is a 1988 Indian Hindi-language comedy film starring Naseeruddin Shah and Satish Shah, directed by Kawal Sharma. Although it was not officially acknowledged, the film is based on the 1985 English movie ''Brewster's Millions'' which itself was based on the 1902 novel ''Brewster's Millions'' by George Barr McCutcheon. At least six films have been made based on the novel, besides a 1906 Broadway play. The film is also known for Sunil Gavaskar, the renowned cricketer, making a guest appearance in the film. Plot Raj, a small-time cricketer, discovers that his grandfather has left a property of 3.3 billion rupees for him. But the inheritance comes with a clause that it would be his only if he is able to spend 300 Millions in 30 days. Raj, who has never seen so much money has no idea how to do that. Harindranath Chattopadhyay
Harindranath Chattopadhyay (2 April 1898 – 23 June 1990) was an Indian English poet, dramatist, actor, musician and a member of the 1st Lok Sabha from Vijayawada constituency. He was the younger brother of Sarojini Naidu, the second woman President of the Indian National Congress and first Indian woman to hold the position, and Virendranath Chattopadhyay, an international communist revolutionary. Amit Kumar (born 3 July 1952) is an Indian playback singer, actor, music composer. Kumar launched his own music production company, named Kumar Brothers Music. He predominantly worked in Bollywood and regional film songs since the 1970s, including 150 Hindi and Bengali compositions by R. D. Burman. After Burman's death in 1994, citing a lack of quality music composition, Kumar withdrew from playback singing and concentrated on live orchestra shows. Jankidas Mehra (1910 – 18 June 2003) was an Indian actor of Hindi cinema, cyclist, production designer, and writer. He made over 1000 film appearances between the 1930s and 1997. Biography Sports Jankidas served as the only Indian member of the International Olympic Committee at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin along with Hockey legend Major Dhyanchand and was the only Indian to have broken the world record in cycling between 1934 and 1942.
