The kingpin (also king-pin, king pin and k pin) is the main wiktionary:pivot, pivot in the steering mechanism of a automobile, car or other vehicle. The term is also used to refer to part of a fifth wheel coupling apparatus for a Semi truck, semi and its Trailer (vehicle), trailer or other load. History Originally, with the 'turntable' steering of horse-drawn wagons, this was a single pin on which the moveable axle was pivoted beneath the wagon's frame. This located the axle from side to side, but the weight of the wagon was carried on a circular wooden ring turntable surrounding this. Kingpin (band)
Shotgun Messiah was a Swedish glam metal band from Skövde. The band was formed in 1985 by guitarist Harry Cody and bassist Tim Sköld, with singer Zinny J. Zan and drummer Stixx Galore taking part in their most commercially successful lineup. The band released three studio albums, ''Shotgun Messiah'', ''Second Coming'' and '' Violent New Breed'', with Cody and Sköld being the only constant members of the band. Shotgun Messiah disbanded in 1993. Joe Grand is an American electrical engineer, inventor and hardware hacker known in the hacker community as Kingpin. He achieved mainstream popularity after his appearance on '' Prototype This!'', a Discovery Channel television show. He specializes in reverse engineering and finding security flaws in hardware devices. Grand has testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs regarding government and homeland computer security under his internet handle, Kingpin. The Kelly Brothers were a 1960s Chicago gospel quartet, which also sang R&B as the King Pins. The group comprised brothers Curtis, Robert and Andrew Kelly with the fourth part sung by Charles Lee or Offe Reece. Albert William Lee (born 21 December 1943) is an English guitarist known for his fingerstyle and hybrid picking technique. Lee has worked, both in the studio and on tour, with many famous musicians from a wide range of genres. He has also maintained a solo career and is a noted composer and musical director. Early life Lee was born in Lingen, Herefordshire, but grew up in Blackheath, London, a member of a Romani family. Career The group made three appearances supported by Tito Burns' 6-5ers on the BBC television series Six-Five Special between 13 December 1958 and 27 December 1958, and nine appearances supported by Bob Miller and the Millermen on the BBC television series Drumbeat between 4 April 1959 and 20 June 1959, and they contributed two tracks to the LP record entitled Drumbeat that accompanied the television series, the tracks were; a cover of Bobby Freeman's "Shame On You Miss Johnson" (written by Bobby Freeman), and Bobby Tempest's Don't Leave Me (Like This) (written by Brian Bushby aka Bobby Tempest).
