''The Intruder'' is a 1975 American horror film written and directed by Chris Robinson and starring Mickey Rooney, Ted Cassidy, and Yvonne De Carlo. Its plot follows a group of people who are stalked on an island by a killer while searching for gold. The film was shelved by its distribution company in 1975, never receiving a theatrical or home video release, and was thought to be a lost film. In 2017, it was announced that a print of the film had been discovered. The film had its first release on Blu-ray by Garagehouse Pictures on August 1, 2017. ''The Intruder'', also known as ''I Hate Your Guts'', ''Shame'' and ''The Stranger'' (UK title), is a 1962 American drama film directed and co-produced by Roger Corman and starring William Shatner. The story, adapted by Charles Beaumont from his own 1959 novel of the same name, depicts the machinations of a racist named Adam Cramer (portrayed by Shatner), who arrives in the fictitious small Southern town of Caxton in order to incite white townspeople to racial violence against black townspeople and court-ordered school integration. Plot In the early 1960s, Adam Cramer arrives in the small Southern town of Caxton with an agenda that soon becomes clear. Caxton's "whites only" high school is about to undergo forced desegregation and admit black students due to a court order, and the racist Cramer, purportedly working on behalf of an organization called The Patrick Henry Society, is working to incite the white townspeople to strongly and possibly violently resist the desegregation. It tells the story of the dandy Tullio Hermil who is habitually unfaithful to his patient and loving wife Giuliana, until the wife eventually does the same and becomes pregnant with another man's child. The book was published in English in 1897, translated by Georgina Harding. The book was first adapted for film in 1912 by Edoardo Bencivenga. The ''Foreigner'' series is a science fiction book series set in a fictional universe created by American writer C. J. Cherryh. The series centers on the descendants of a ship lost in transit from Earth en route to found a new space station. It consists of a series of semi-encapsulated trilogy arcs (or sequences) that focus on the life of Bren Cameron, the human ''paidhi'', a translator-diplomat to the court of the ruling atevi race. Currently twenty one novels have been published between 1994 and 2020. Cherryh has also self-published two ebook short story prequels to the series, "Deliberations" (October 2012) and "Invitations" (August 2013). Cherryh calls the series "First Contact".
