The Imus City–AJAA Spikers (stylized as A✓AA) are a men's volleyball team based in Imus, Cavite which plays in the Spikers' Turf, a league in the Philippines. Sammy Acaylar
Sinfronio "Sammy" Acaylar (February 4, 1958 – January 30, 2025) was a Filipino volleyball coach. Career Club Acaylar coached the Cignal HD Spikers women's team of the Philippine Super Liga, helping them finish as runners-up twice in their first season in 2013. He joined the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors, who were newcomers in the 2017 season. He guided the team in the All-Filipino Conference before resigning shortly prior to the start of the Grand Prix Conference due to commitments with other teams. He briefly went to coach the Imus City–AJAA Spikers in their 2023 season Spikers' Turf run. In August 2023, Acaylar returned to women's volleyball and joined the Premier Volleyball League side Quezon City Gerflor Defenders in the lead up to the 2023 PVL Second All-Filipino Conference He did not win any of the 11 matches of the team which faced salary issues. Spikers' Turf
The Spikers' Turf is the top-level men's semi-professional volleyball league in the Philippines organized by the Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. (Sports Vision), established in 2015. History The league had its beginnings in 2014, when the Shakey's V-League introduced a men's division during its Shakey's V-League 11th Season Reinforced Open Conference, 21st conference. The following year, Sports Vision decided to spin off the men's division as a separate league, giving birth to the Spikers' Turf. In late-2016, Sports Vision announced that the league be merged back in the 2017 season with the Shakey's V-League (which was renamed as the Premier Volleyball League; PVL). The men's division in the PVL ended with the 2018 Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference, 2018 PVL Collegiate Conference as its final tournament. 2023 Spikers' Turf Open Conference
The 2023 Spikers' Turf Open Conference was the sixteenth conference and the start of the 2023 Spikers' Turf season, sixth season of the Spikers' Turf. The tournament began on January 22, 2023, with a total of eleven teams, including four new teams at the Paco Arena, Paco, Manila. This is the first conference of the league to use a Video Challenge. Imus, Cavite
Imus (), officially the City of Imus (), is a component city and ''de jure'' capital of the province of Cavite, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 496,794 people. 2022 PNVF Champions League For Men
The men's division of the 2022 PNVF Champions League began on November 5 to 13, 2022 at PhilSports Arena, Pasig, Philippines. This is the second edition of the PNVF Champions League. Cignal HD Spikers claimed the championship title after a hard fought 5 sets against Pikit-North Cotabato AMC G-Spikers. Imus City-AJAA Spikers secured the bronze after a 3 sets win over PGJC Navy Sea Lions. Participating teams 15 teams entered the 2022 PNVF Champions League. 2023 Spikers' Turf Invitational Conference
The 2023 Spikers' Turf Invitational Conference was the seventeenth conference and the end of the 2023 Spikers' Turf season, sixth season of the Spikers' Turf. The tournament began from October 20 to December 15, 2023, at the Paco Arena, Paco, Manila. This was the inaugural Invitational conference of the league, with a format similar to the Premier Volleyball League. This is the first conference where a foreign club, Maruichi Hyogo of Japan, participated in the league. The Sta. Elena Ball Hammers, Sta. Elena-NU Nationals beat the Cignal HD Spikers (men's team), Cignal HD Spikers in a thrilling 5-setter knockout match in the finals, the first of its kind in the history of the league. The visiting Maruichi Hyogo then bagged the bronze medal after defeating Letran Knights, Saints and Lattes-Letran in another five-set match.
