Edward Hasted
Edward Hasted (20 December 1732 OS (31 December 1732 NS) – 14 January 1812) was an English antiquarian and pioneering historian of his ancestral home county of Kent. As such, he was the author of a major county history, ''The History and Topographical Survey of the County of Kent'' (1778–99). Life Hasted was born in Lombard Street, London, the son of Edward Hasted (1702–1740) of Sutton-at-Hone, near Dartford, Kent by his wife, Ann Tyler. His grandfather, Joseph Hasted (1662–1732), had been employed as chief painter at the Royal Navy's Chatham dockyard, but he was also a skilled financier, and amassed a considerable private estate and income. Hasted's father, Edward, became a wealthy barrister, and the young Edward Hasted was educated at Darent (1737–40), The King's School, Rochester (1740–44). John Hasted
John Barrett Hasted (17 February 1921 – 4 May 2002) was a British physicist and folk musician.David Gregory. (2002). ''In Memoriam: John Hasted, 1921-2002''. He attended Winchester College and won a choral scholarship to New College, Oxford, where he read chemistry and later focused on atomic physics. From 1968 until his retirement he was head of experimental physics at Birkbeck College, London. He was the author of ''Physics Of Atomic Collisions'' (1964), ''Aqueous Dielectrics'' (1973), ''The Metal Benders'' (1981), and his autobiography, ''Alternative Memoirs'' (1992). Michael Hasted
Michael Hasted (born 1945) is a British artist, writer and director for the theatre and photographer. Early life Michael Hasted was expelled from school at the age of 16 for spending more time backstage at his local repertory theatre, The Everyman in Cheltenham, than on his studies. Unable to accept the place he had been offered at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School because he was too young to receive a grant, he spent the next few years working in rep all over Great Britain, notably The Everyman, Theatre Royal Lincoln, Queens Theatre, Horncurch and The Dundee Rep. He appeared in various productions with Steven Berkoff, Penelope Keith, James Bolam and John Savident. Sarah Hasted is an American curator and art dealer. Hasted was the founder and co-owner of contemporary art galleries, Hasted Hunt and Hasted Kraeutler, and has been a curator and art dealer for over 25 years. She has consulted for private collectors, and placed works of art with major Museums as well as corporate collections worldwide. Hasted has also been an adjunct professor at Parson's School of Design since 2003.
