BloodStorm
''BloodStorm'' is a 1994 arcade fighting game published by Strata and developed by Incredible Technologies. It is considered a quasi-sequel to '' Time Killers''. ''BloodStorm'' was dubbed as a possible "'' Mortal Kombat''-killer" in an attempt to surpass rival Midway Games's success with ''Mortal Kombat'', though it did not prevail. It was the last game Strata produced before the company went out of business. Home ports for the Saturn and PlayStation were announced in early 1995, but were later cancelled. Plot ''BloodStorm'' is set in a distant, post-apocalyptic future where the world, ravaged by war and famine, has divided into eight provinces ruled by the High Emperor. At the start of the game, the Emperor is assassinated by an unknown assailant, bringing the Empire to the brink of a global war. Heather Gladney (born February 10, 1957) is an American author whose fantasy novels include ''Teot's War'' (1987) and its sequel ''Bloodstorm'' (1989). Biography Heather Gladney was born on February 10, 1957, in Hawthorne, California. She attended University of California, San Diego (1975–1977) and received a B.S. in pomology in 1980 from University of California, Davis. She has worked in various jobs including landscaping and horticulture. She grew up in the Mojave Desert which influenced her settings and characters. She was nominated for the John W. Campbell Memorial Award (1988), and finalist for the William Crawford Award (1988). Vampires are fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The concept of the Vampire has been depicted by Marvel to varying degrees of significance. Bearing strong resemblance to their literary counterparts, Marvel vampires mostly are an undead subspecies of humans which sustain their immortality and paranormal power by drinking the blood of the living. Unlike most other depictions of the creature, these vampires have their roots in both the supernatural and biology.
