Another Nail
''JLA: The Nail'' is a three-issue comic book Limited series (comics), mini-series published by DC Comics in 1998 under its ''Elseworlds'' imprint. The story, written and drawn by Alan Davis, is set in a parallel universe where Jonathan and Martha Kent, Jonathan and Martha Kent's truck experiences a flat tire caused by a nail, which stops them from discovering a Kryptonian spaceship outside Smallville (comics), Smallville containing the baby Kal-El, negating Superman. It was later followed by a sequel, ''JLA: Another Nail'', a three-issue mini-series published in 2004 which wrapped up several loose ends from the original mini-series, such as the war between the New Gods and the Green Lantern Corps and Green Arrow, Oliver Queen's public betrayal of the Justice League. Alan Davis
Alan Davis (born 18 June 1956) is an English comic book writer and artist, known for his work on ''Captain Britain'', ''The Uncanny X-Men'', ''The ClanDestine, ClanDestine'', ''Detective Comics'', ''Excalibur (comic book), Excalibur'', ''JLA: The Nail'' and ''JLA: Another Nail''. Career UK work Davis began his career in comics on an English fanzine. His first professional work was a strip called ''The Crusader'' in ''Frantic Magazine'' for Dez Skinn's revamped Marvel UK line. Davis's big break was drawing the revamped Captain Britain story in ''The Mighty World of Marvel, Marvel Superheroes''. At the time, he was working full-time in a warehouse in Corby doing work that included loading trucks. Hawkman (Katar Hol) is a DC Comics superhero. He is the Silver Age, Bronze Age and New 52 Hawkman. Created by Gardner Fox and Joe Kubert, he first appeared in ''The Brave and the Bold'' #34 (February–March 1961). Amazo
Amazo is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky and first appeared in '' The Brave and the Bold'' #30 (June 1960) as an adversary of the Justice League of America. Since debuting during the Silver Age of Comic Books, the character has appeared in comic books and other DC Comics-related products, including animated television series, trading cards and video games.
