Jack Hardy (labor Leader)
Jack Hardy (sometimes Richard Enmale), born Dale Zysman (November 18, 1901 - July 2, 1993?), was a 20th-Century Communist author labor leader as "Jack Hardy" and a teacher and board member of the New York City Teachers Union under his birth name "Dale Zysman": investigation by the New York Board of Education (now the New York City Department of Education) led to public awareness that the two names belonged to one person and subsequent expulsion from the school system in 1941. Career High school coach In November 1927, Zysman is pictured as a football coach of the "New Utrecht Gridders" of Brooklyn. In September 1928, he is listed as one of three football coaches in Brooklyn. "Zysman steps into the shoes of Hyman Saul, who withdrew after being at the helm for two years. John Zysman
John Zysman (born 1946) is a professor of Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley and co-founder of the Berkeley Roundtable on the International Economy (BRIE). Professor Zysman received his B.A at Harvard and his Ph.D. at MIT. He has written extensively on European and Japanese policy and corporate strategy; his interests also include comparative politics, Western European politics, political economy and energy policy. Zysman’s 1987 publication, ''Manufacturing Matters: The Myth of the Post-Industrial Economy'' (with Stephen S. Cohen), was identified by ''Business Week'' as one of the year's top ten books. Since his book ''Manufacturing Matters'', Zysman has significantly redefined the understanding of how different sectors interact in the global division of labor, and how technology dynamics and political economy link. Shalom Zysman
Shalom Zysman ( he, שלום זיסמן, 14 March 1914 – 12 February 1967) was an Israeli politician who served as a member of the Knesset for the General Zionists between 1951 and 1955. Biography Born in Żelechów in the Russian Empire (today in Poland), Zysman was educated at a gymnasium, before studying law at the University of Warsaw. He made aliyah to Mandatory Palestine, where he joined the Haganah and was amongst the founders of ''Bamahane'', the Haganah (and now IDF) publication. During World War II, he was a sergeant major in the Jewish Brigade, and fought in the Western Desert in North Africa, and on the Italian front. In the 1948 Arab–Israeli War he was a major, and deputy head of the publicity department. He published a book, ''Know Your Weapon''. In 1951, he was elected to the Knesset on the General Zionists' list, but lost his seat in the 1955 elections.
