Zyon Cavalera
Zyon Cavalera (born January 19, 1993) is an American musician who is the current drummer for metal bands Soulfly and Lody Kong. He is the son of ex-Sepultura and current Soulfly frontman Max Cavalera. Background Zyon Cavalera was born on January 19, 1993. His father Max added his in utero heartbeat into the beginning of the 1993 Sepultura song " Refuse/Resist" from their album '' Chaos A.D.''. Soulfly
Soulfly is an American heavy metal music, heavy metal band formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 1997. Soulfly is led by former Sepultura frontman Max Cavalera, who formed the band after he left the Brazilian group in 1996. To date the band has released twelve studio albums, one tour Extended play, EP, twenty-three Single (music), singles, one video album, and twelve music videos. Their debut album, ''Soulfly (Soulfly album), Soulfly'', was released on April 21, 1998, while their most recent album, ''Totem (Soulfly album), Totem'', was released on August 5, 2022. Refuse/Resist
''Refuse/Resist'' is Sepultura's fourth single, released in 1993. The title song, also included as a single off the album '' Chaos A.D.'', is one of the band's best-known songs and remains a concert staple to this day. A music video was filmed for the single which features the band playing live at a festival intercut with footage of rioting and general unrest. This video can be found on the VHS ''Third World Chaos'', which was later released on DVD as part of the ''Chaos'' DVD. The intro to the song is the heartbeat of Max Cavalera's then-unborn first son Zyon. This song is also notable for having a 20-second growl at the end. The record was released in memory of frontman Max Cavalera's deceased stepson and was the first album featuring Cavalera since leaving Sepultura two years prior. ''Savages'' is the ninth studio album by American heavy metal band Soulfly, released on September 30, 2013. The album is the first to feature drummer Zyon Cavalera, frontman Max's son, in a full-time capacity after the departure of David Kinkade in 2012. The first single from the album, " Bloodshed" featuring Max's other son (and Zyon's brother) Igor, debuted on the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show on August 6, 2013. David Kinkade
David W. Kinkade (born August 25, 1983) is an American metal drummer. Biography David Kinkade was born in New Jersey in 1983. At the age of three, he started picking up drums after his grandfather gave him his first drum kit. He has become known for his hard hitting, fast drum fills and double bass. His influences include bands such as Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Pink Floyd, Kiss, Iron Maiden, Sepultura, Immortal, Emperor and Devin Townsend Project. His drumming influences include Lars Ulrich, Dave Lombardo, Simon Philips, Gavin Harrison, Vinnie Paul, Nick Barker, Gene Hoglan, Hellhammer, Nick Mason and of course Neil Peart. In August 2011, he was announced as the drummer of Soulfly, replacing Joe Nuñez. In October 2011, he parted ways with Borknagar. Incite is an American groove/thrash metal band from Phoenix, Arizona, formed in 2004. It consists of Richie Cavalera (vocals), Christopher "EL" Elsten (bass), Lennon Lopez (drums), and Mike DeLeon (guitar). Frontman Richie Cavalera is best known as the stepson of Max Cavalera, formerly of Sepultura and currently a member of the bands Soulfly and Cavalera Conspiracy. ''Enslaved'' is the eighth studio album by American heavy metal band Soulfly. It was recorded in fall 2011, mostly in Tallcat Studios in Phoenix, Arizona. Zeuss produced this album. This is the first album to feature Asesino frontman Tony Campos on bass, and the only album to feature former Borknagar drummer David Kinkade on drums, and their last studio album to be released through Roadrunner Records. ''Omen'' is the seventh studio album by American heavy metal band Soulfly. It was recorded in November 2009 and was released first in Japan on May 18, 2010, and on May 25, 2010, in other parts of the world. It was released on May 24, 2010, in parts of Europe. William Thomas Ward (born 5 May 1948) is an English drummer. He was a co-founder and the original drummer for the hard rock band Black Sabbath. Ward helped found Black Sabbath in 1968 alongside bandmates Ozzy Osbourne (lead singer), Tony Iommi (guitarist), and Geezer Butler (bass).
