Zuzana Čaputová
Zuzana Čaputová (; Strapáková; born 21 June 1973) is a Slovak politician, lawyer and environmental activist who served as the fifth president of Slovakia from 2019 to 2024. Čaputová is the first woman to hold the presidency, as well as the youngest president in the history of Slovakia, elected at the age of 45. Čaputová first became known by prevailing in a decade-long struggle against the situating of a toxic landfill in her hometown of Pezinok. For this, Čaputová was awarded the 2016 Goldman Environmental Prize. She won the 2019 Slovak presidential election with 58% of the vote in the run-off. Progressive Slovakia (, PS) is a liberal and social-liberal political party in Slovakia established in 2017. The party is led by Michal Šimečka, a former Vice President of the European Parliament. Peter Pellegrini (; born 6 October 1975) is a Slovak politician who is serving as the sixth president of Slovakia since 2024. He previously served as prime minister of Slovakia from 2018 to 2020. Ján Kuciak (17 May 1990 – 21 February 2018) was a Slovak Investigative journalism, investigative journalist. Kuciak worked as a reporter for the news website Aktuality.sk and focused mainly on investigating tax fraud of several businessmen with connections to top-level Slovak politicians. He and his fiancée, Martina Kušnírová, were assassination, assassinated on 21 February 2018 in their home in Veľká Mača, Galanta District, Slovakia. Robert Mistrík (, born 13 August 1966) is a Slovak chemist, scientist, businessman, and politician. Early life Mistrík was born on 13 August 1966 in Banská Bystrica. He attended Gymnázium Jozefa Gregora Tajovského in Banská Bystrica. In 1991, he graduated with a degree in Analytical Chemistry from the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.
