Heinrich Zschokke
Johann Heinrich Daniel Zschokke (22 March 177127 June 1848) was a German, later Swiss, author and reformer. Most of his life was spent, and most of his reputation earned, in Switzerland. He had an extensive civil service career, and wrote histories, fiction and other works which were widely known. Biography Youth and early career in Prussia Born in Magdeburg, Prussia, he was educated at the monasterial (Kloster) school and at the Altstädter Gymnasium there. He ran away from school at 17, and spent some time as playwright with a company of strolling actors. Later, he studied philosophy, theology and history at the University of Frankfurt (Oder), where in 1792 he established himself as a Privatdozent. While a Privatdozent, Zschokke created a sensation by publishing the extravagant novel, ''Abällino, der grosse Bandit'' (1793; subsequently also dramatized), modelled on Schiller's '' Die Räuber'', and the melodramatic tragedy ''Julius von Sassen'' (1796). Friedrich Zschokke
Friedrich Zschokke (27 May 1860, Aarau – 10 January 1936, Basel) was a Swiss zoologist and parasitologist. He was the grandson of writer Heinrich Zschokke. He studied zoology in Lausanne and Geneva, earning his doctorate at the latter institution in 1884. In 1889 he became an associate professor, and from 1893 to 1931 was a full professor of zoology and comparative anatomy at the University of Basel. In 1900 he was named university rector.Biography

Matthias Zschokke
Matthias Zschokke (October 29, 1954 Bern, Switzerland) is a Swiss writer and filmmaker. Life He attended drama school at the Schauspielschule Bochum. Since 1980, he has been living as a writer and filmmaker in Berlin. He has written nine volumes of prose, eight plays, and three films.
