Electronic Music
Electronic music is a Music genre, genre of music that employs electronic musical instruments, digital instruments, or electronics, circuitry-based music technology in its creation. Consolidated (band)
Consolidated is an American radical activist music group, formed in 1988 and best known in the early 1990s as an alternative dance/industrial music band. Between 1989 and 1994, their instrumental style evolved from industrial, to hip-hop, to hard rock and funk with mixtures of live instruments and electronic instruments. They were distinguished by left-leaning political activism and politically radical lyrics, as well as their innovative sonic collages which blended industrial and hip-hop styles. Their music often focused on vegetarianism, women's rights, animal rights, fighting racism and homophobia, the unity of oppression, World War II and the Holocaust, the dangers of capitalism, and the evils of American nationalism. Although often criticized as having strident and confrontational lyrics, Consolidated tempered the intensity of their songs with many instances of self-deprecating humor. They admitted to their own struggles with addressing complex social issues within the const ...

Synæsthesia (Canadian Band)
Synæsthesia was a Canadian ambient band formed by industrial musicians Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber as a side project of their main band Front Line Assembly. '' Keyboard'' magazine writes: "Synæsthesia explores dark tribal ambient sounds, composers have a flair for cinematic electronica, and favor epic pieces that unfold slowly." History Leeb and Fulber formed Synæsthesia in the 1990s and began recording together. Due to contractual entanglements they were at first not able to admit they were behind the music. Instead credits for their first two albums, ''Embody'' and ''Desideratum'', went to " R. Deckard", an allusion to the main character in the film ''Blade Runner''. The identity of the musicians was revealed with the release of the third album, ''Ephemeral'', crediting Leeb with the music and Fulber with programming. The album incorporates symphonic passages, traditional rhythms and nature sounds into menacing electronic sounds. ''Synæsthesia'' uses samples from a number ...

Orange Sector
Orange Sector is a German EBM band from Hannover, Germany formed in 1992. History Martin Bodewell and Lars Felker met in 1992 at an underground club named "Index" in Hannover, Germany. The pair discovered that they had similar tastes in music and decided to work together in their musical efforts. Influenced by fellow German acts DAF and Extrabreit, as well as EBM stalwarts Nitzer Ebb, the pair produced a demo tape as Orange Sector — entitled ''The War Comes Home '' — and sent it to the German electronic music label Zoth Ommog. Zoth Ommog label head, Andreas Tomalla (aka Talla 2XLC), liked the demo and offered a record deal to Bodewell and Felker. Over the next two years, the band released two albums on Zoth Ommog: ''Faith'' in 1993 and ''Flashback'' in 1994. Both were produced by André Schmechta (aka Sevren Ni-Arb) of X Marks the Pedwalk in his T.G.I.F. Studio, which was a production nexus for many EBM bands in the early 1990s. By 1997, Felker left the band to attend t ...

Mentallo And The Fixer
Mentallo and the Fixer (sometimes written as Mentallo & the Fixer) is the project name used by Texan electro-industrial musicians Gary Dassing (Mentallo) and Dwayne Dassing (The Fixer) from 1988 to 1999, and by Gary Dassing alone from 1999 to the present day. The band has several releases on the American record label, Metropolis Records. They are named after two Marvel Comics characters. Biography The Dassing brothers first began experimenting with music by the means of more traditional rock music instruments, such as guitar and drums. However, by the time the two formed their first band Benestrophe with vocalist Richard Mendez, the instruments of choice became synthesizers and samplers. Most of the two tapes worth of material they recorded subsequently became available as the releases ''Sensory Deprivation'' and ''Auric Fires'' on Ras Dva Records. After parting ways with Mendez, the two brothers began work as Mentallo & The Fixer. A friend of Gary's brought the name "Men ...
