Zoran Planinić
Zoran Planinić (born September 12, 1982) is a Croatian former professional basketball player. Early years Planinić was born in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the former Yugoslavia. He started his basketball career at HKK Brotnjo Čitluk from Čitluk, Bosnia and Herzegovina and was noticed by KK Cibona where he continued his junior career. Professional career In the 1999–2000 season, he started his professional career on loan to Benston Zagreb. He returned to Cibona Zagreb in 2000 and he was named the Croatian League MVP in 2001. He stayed with Cibona until 2003. In the 2003 NBA draft, the (in shoes), point guard/shooting guard was drafted 22nd overall by the New Jersey Nets. In three NBA seasons he averaged 4 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. BC Khimki () is a Russian professional basketball team that is based in Khimki, Moscow Oblast. The club's senior men's first team participates in the Russian Basketball Super League 1. 2011–12 PBL Season
The 2011–12 Russian Professional Basketball League (PBL) was the second season of the Russian Professional League, and the 21st overall season of the Russian Professional Championship. CSKA Moscow won the title, by beating Khimki Moscow Region 2–0 in the league's playoff Finals. 2003 NBA Draft
The 2003 NBA draft was held on June 26, 2003, at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. The NBA announced that 41 college and high school players and a record 31 international players had filed as early-entry candidates for the 2003 NBA draft. The Cleveland Cavaliers, who had a 22.50 percent probability of obtaining the first selection, won the NBA draft lottery on May 22, and Cleveland chairman Gordon Gund said afterward his team would select LeBron James, and they did.
