Zoraida Virginia Gómez Sánchez (; born May 31, 1985, in Mexico City, Mexico) is a Mexican actress known for her performance in ''Rebelde.'' Biography She is the sister of actors Eleazar Gómez, Alizair Gómez and Jairo Gómez. Eleazar and Zoraida Gómez acted together in the novel Rebelde (2004-2006). With only four years old appeared in an ad with Alejandra Guzmán. Music While in ''Rebelde'', she and two other costars formed the band Citrus or c3Q's, which only made one song called "No Me Importa" (I Don't Care). Zoraida Senoba Sambolin (born July 10, 1965) is an American television journalist. Biography Sambolin is of Puerto Rican descent. Most recently, Sambolin was the host of '' Early Start'' on CNN. Sambolin is a native of Chicago and anchored news broadcasts for local affiliates WMAQ-TV ( NBC) as well as WSNS-TV for nine years. In January 2013, it was announced that Sambolin was engaged to baseball executive Kenny Williams. In May 2013, Sambolin announced that she had breast cancer and got a double mastectomy on May 28, 2013. She stated that she "struggled for weeks" to find the best way to make this information public, and ended up doing so while discussing Angelina Jolie's New York Times OpEd piece describing her own double mastectomy. Dr. Zoraida Santiago Buitrago (born May 25, 1952) is a composer and singer of Puerto Rican folkloric themes. Early years Santiago (birth name:Zoraida Santiago Buitrago ) was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico to Domingo Santiago and Zayda Buitrago. She was raised and educated in Santurce and at a very young age became interest in musical instruments. Her parents had her take piano lessons as a child. She also took lessons about musical composition and harmony. Santiago is a self-taught guitarist. After graduating from high school, Santiago moved to New York City where she pursued her university studies in anthropology. Musical career In 1978, she met fellow Puerto Rican singer Roy Brown. Santiago joined Brown's musical group, ''Aires Bucaneros'', and participated in the recordings of ''Aires Bucaneros'' (1979) and ''Casi Alba'' (1980). Both albums contain compositions by Santiago. Zoraida Córdova is an Ecuadorian-American author of children's books and romance, best known for her ''Brooklyn Brujas'' series. She also writes romance as Zoey Castile. Personal life Córdova was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador and came to the United States when she was five or six years old. English is her second language. She grew up in Hollis, Queens. Her favorite books in high school were ''In the Forests of the Night'' and ''Demon in my View'' by Amelia Atwater Rhodes, which she first read at age 13. Impressed by the fact that Rhodes was published when she was 14, Córdova was inspired to start to want to become a writer as well. ''Zoraida'' is a large genus of planthoppers from the family Derbidae, tribe Zoraidini, with more than 100 species. These are widely distributed in the Old World tropics and in some subtropical parts of eastern Asia. In Africa, they are found mainly in the humid tropics of West Africa like Sierra Leone, the Ivory Coast, the Central African Republic, Nigeria or the Democratic Republic of Congo. However, ''Zoraida'' species have been also described from eastern Africa as far north as South Sudan and as far south as parts of South Africa. In Asia, the largest number of species have been described/reported from Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Sri Lanka, but species are also known as far south as northern Australia and as far north as the southern tip of far-eastern Russia.
