Zongshen
Zongshen () is a Chinese manufacturing company which produces motorcycles, quad bikes, generators, and engines. It is based in Chongqing, China and claims to have a yearly output of over 1,000,000 motorcycles. History Zuo Zongshen founded the Zongshen company in 1992. He founded its predecessor in 1982 as small motorcycle repair shop called "Master Zuo" before expanding into manufacturing. In 2006, founder Zuo Zongshen was profiled in the Discovery Channel and CBC co-produced documentary ''China Rises'' as a member of China's nouveau riche. In 2007, Zongshen invested CNY300 million into a new research and development center in Chongqing, as part of their "Cyclone" program. The program is designed to produce unique technology and designs for Zongshen's new models and differentiate the brand from a competitive environment of almost identical models. China Superbike Championship
China Superbike Championship (CSBK) is a motorcycle racing championship organized in China by China Motorcycle Sports Association and promoted by Zhuhai International Circuit. It was first established in 2007. The 150cc Open Class allowed for engine modification and Feiying Racing commissioned Wiseco Piston to build and prep 4 race engines for the series. These engines powered Feiying to the 2007 Championship and S&S Racing to the 2008 Championship. There was four championship rounds in 2007. Two at Zhuhai International Circuit, one at Beijing Goldenport Park Circuit and one at Shanghai's Tianma Circuit. The last China Superbike Championship took place in Tianjin (2019). The International Motorcycling Federation (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) or (FIM) is the global governing/sanctioning body of motorcycle racing. It represents 123 national motorcycle federations that are divided into six continental unions. Supermoto
Supermoto is a form of motorcycle racing held on race tracks that alternate between three kinds of track surfaces: the hard packed dirt of flat track, the irregular jumps and obstacles of motocross, and the paved tarmac of road racing. Supermoto was originally conceived by Gavin Trippe in 1979 as a segment of the TV show Wide World of Sports. It was something like an all-star game, in which the best riders from the three separate genres of motorcycle racing could temporarily leave their normal race class to come together and compete for the title of best all around racer. Today supermoto is a distinct genre of its own and riders in the other classes do not routinely cross over into supermoto. A single-cylinder engine, sometimes called a thumper, is a piston engine with one cylinder. Four-stroke
A four-stroke (also four-cycle) engine is an internal combustion (IC) engine in which the piston completes four separate strokes while turning the crankshaft. A stroke refers to the full travel of the piston along the cylinder, in either direction. The four separate strokes are termed: #Intake: Also known as induction or suction.
