Allen Zoll
Allen A. Zoll (October 21, 1895 - August 30, 1969) was a far-right American political activist. In the 1930s, Zoll founded the American Patriots, Inc., a group listed as a fascist group on the Attorney General's List of Subversive Organizations during the Second World War. The group had a publication, ''American Patriot'', and hosted speakers such as Joe McWilliams, an American Nazi sympathiser, and Elizabeth Dilling, author of ''The Red Network''. The Military Intelligence Corps refused Zoll training at his Citizens' Military Training Camp during the war. While he was working with American Patriots, Zoll was indicted for trying to extort money from Radio Station WMCA; he was not prosecuted following a not guilty plea. Andrzej Stanisław Zoll (born 27 May 1942) is a Polish lawyer, former judge and president of the Polish Constitutional Tribunal, former Polish Ombudsman, former president of the State Electoral Commission, former president of the Legislative Council, co-author of the Polish Penal Code of 1997. Professor of criminal law at the Jagiellonian University. Biography Andrzej Zoll was born in Sieniawa, Poland. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Jagiellonian University in 1964. Carl Zoll
Carl Francis Zoll (January 29, 1899 – October 19, 1973) was an American wrestler and professional football guard. One of three brothers active in sports in Green Bay, Wisconsin, he attended Green Bay West High School and then became a prominent wrestler in the region. He was undefeated from the start of his career in 1917 until 1919, while also claiming the Wisconsin heavyweight title from 1917 until 1921. He fought many prominent wrestlers in his career, including several world champions, and unsuccessfully contended for the World Light Heavyweight Championship in 1920. Zoll also played football; he was a member of the Green Bay Packers in their inaugural 1919 season. He stayed with the team until 1922 as they entered what became the National Football League (NFL). Richard Archibald Zoll (December 10, 1913 – September 6, 1985) was an American professional football guard and tackle. One of three brothers who played football, he played in college for the Indiana Hoosiers and later in the National Football League (NFL) for the Cleveland Rams and Green Bay Packers. He also played for the Columbus Bullies of the American Professional Football Association (APFA). Early life Zoll was born on December 10, 1913, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Franz Joseph Zoll
Franz Joseph Zoll was born at Möhringen an der Donau, in Baden, in 1772, and was first instructed by his father, a sculptor and painter. In his fourteenth year he went to Trostenberg in Bavaria, to an uncle who was a fresco painter, and then spent two years at Munich, studying under Johann Conrad Dorner, Johann Dorner and Joseph Hauber at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich, Academy. He visited Paris, Vienna, and Rome. In 1821 he became professor of design at Freiburg University, and in 1823 director of the Mannheim Gallery. He died in 1833. Kilian Zoll
Kilian Christoffer Zoll (20 September 1818 9 November 1860) was a Swedish painter, graphic artist and illustrator in the style of the Düsseldorf School. He created genre scenes, landscapes, altarpieces and portraits. Biography Zoll was born in the parish of Hyllie in Malmöhus, Scania, Sweden. He was the son of Nils Fredrik Zoll and Catarina Christina Knutsson. His father was a lieutenant in the Swedish Army. He initially attended Malmö Læromsskola in Malmö, but interrupted his course work to study art in Stockholm. From 1836 to 1849, he studied at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts with Fredric Westin, Per Krafft and Carl Johan Fahlcrantz, but found it necessary to suspend his work there on several occasions so he could paint and sell portraits to support his education. Paul Maurice Zoll (July 15, 1911 – January 5, 1999) was a Jewish American cardiologist and one of the pioneers in the development of the artificial cardiac pacemaker and cardiac defibrillator. Early life Zoll's parents were Hyman and Mollie Zoll. They met in the United States after emigrating from Eastern Europe. Hyman's roots were in Lithuania and Mollie's in Belarus. Samuel Edward Zoll (June 20, 1934 – April 26, 2011) was an American lawyer, judge and politician. He began his career as a high school teacher then became a lawyer, politician, then a judge. Later in life he was named to be Chief Justice of the District Courts in Massachusetts. Early life and education Zoll was born in Peabody, Massachusetts. His father was an immigrant from Lithuania, and his mother was a native of nearby Haverhill. Sharnee Zoll-Norman (born July 11, 1986) is an American former professional basketball player. Zoll-Norman played throughout Europe and most recently with the Chicago Sky of the WNBA.
