Ongoing Series
In comics, an ongoing series is a series that runs indefinitely. This is in contrast to limited series (a series intended to end after a certain number of issues thus limited), a one shot (a comic book which is not a part of an ongoing series), a graphic novel, or a trade paperback. However, a series of graphic novels may be considered ongoing as well. The term may also informally refer to a current or incomplete limited series with a predetermined number of issues. Characteristics An ongoing series is traditionally published on a fixed schedule, typically monthly or bimonthly but many factors can cause an issue to be published late. In the past, the schedule was often maintained with the use of fill-in issues (usually by a different creative team, sometimes hurting quality), but increasingly the practice has been to simply delay publication. Action Lab Comics
Action Lab Entertainment (also known as Action Lab Comics or ALE), is an American publisher of comic books, known primarily for the publication of the all-ages fantasy title '' Princeless'', as well as a wide range of titles from all genres. The company is also known for embracing digital comics and is recognized as one of the first publishers to release a digital-only Free Comic Book Day title. History Action Lab Entertainment was founded in October, 2010 by Shawn Pryor, Dave Dwonch and Shawn Gabborin. All three of the founding members had prior experience in self-publishing and had worked together to publish small press comic books under Pryor's PKD Media imprint. Brockton McKinney is an American comic book writer, short story author ,and horror film director & screenwriter. McKinney is known for writing the comic book series' ''Gingerdead Man, Ehmm Theory'' ,and '' Amerikarate (comic book)'' for Action Lab Comics, the films ''Evil Bong 666'', ''Evil Bong 777'', and '' Puppet Master: Blitzkrieg Massacre'' for Full Moon Features, as well as being a contributing writer for Mad Magazine. Career McKinney has co-written the films ''Sick and the Dead'' for Brain damage films and ''Rodney Cecil: Psycho Hero'' for American Shark Pictures. Tarney Winfield
Alan Tarney (born 19 November 1945) is an English record producer and musician. He was born in Northside, Workington, Cumberland, but spent his teenage years in Adelaide, Australia, where he met his songwriting and musical partner Trevor Spencer. He is best known for his association with Cliff Richard and producing "Take On Me" by a-ha. Career Musician Tarney was part of the influx of British migrants who settled in Adelaide during the height of the 1960s pop music boom. His first major group in Australia was James Taylor Move, a four-piece outfit regarded as one of Australia's first psychedelic rock bands; the original line-up in 1967 comprised Tarney on bass, his longtime collaborator Trevor Spencer on drums, Kevin Peek on lead guitar and Robert (R.J.)
