Zimbabwean Independence Trophy
The Zimbabwean Independence Trophy is a Zimbabwean association football knockout tournament. It was created as a clubs competition in 1983 played during commemorations of the country's independence. The final is usually played on 18 April, which is the nation's Independence Day. Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe (), officially the Republic of Zimbabwe, is a landlocked country located in Southeast Africa, between the Zambezi and Limpopo Rivers, bordered by South Africa to the south, Botswana to the south-west, Zambia to the north, and Mozambique to the east. Chicken Inn is a Zimbabwean association football, football club based in Bulawayo. They play in the top division of Zimbabwean football, the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League. The team's unusual name comes from its major sponsor, a large Zimbabwean fast food retailer. Masvingo United
Masvingo United is a Zimbabwean football club. It is based in Masvingo. They joined the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League, (the first tier league) They were repeatedly relegated to Division One. The club used to be bankrolled by Tanda Tavaruva. History The years 2009–2010 were spent in ZIFA Eastern region division 1. During this time, Tavaruva was not sponsoring the club. During this period, initially, Mutema, in partnership with a South African drink making company, Zimanzi, sponsored the club, naming the club Zimanzi Masvingo FC. Chapungu United
Chapungu United is a Zimbabwean football club based in Gweru currently playing in the Zimbabwe Division 1 (Central Region). Their home stadium is Ascot Stadium. They used to play in the top division in Zimbabwean football, but were relegated to Zimbabwe's Second Division in 2009. They were promoted back to the top flight league in 2014. CAPS United F.C. is a Zimbabwean association football, football club based in Harare. Formed in 1973, the team rose to prominence in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It was formerly nicknamed the Manchester Road Boys because of their former address. The team's current nicknames are "Makepekepe" and "Green Machine". Caps United was also known as the "Cup Kings" as they were known to perform well and win cup competitions.
