Ziki Shaked
Ziki Shaked ( he, ציקי שקד; born 1955) is an Israeli captain, sailing instructor, and founder of the school of sailing in Eilat. In 2010–2012, he traveled around the world on his yacht, "Lorraine-D", and joined a small group of Israeli captains who traveled around the world under the Israeli flag. The yacht "Lorraine-D" started from Eilat and two years later came back to Eilat. The route passed through the Suez Canal into the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic Ocean, through the Panama Canal to the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, the Gulf of Aden, and the Red Sea. The boat travelled to unique places, such as the Galápagos Islands, Easter Island, the Pitcairn Islands, and Vanuatu. Galápagos Islands
The Galápagos Islands ( es, Islas Galápagos) are an archipelago of volcanic islands in the Eastern Pacific, located around the Equator west of the mainland of South America. They form the Galápagos Province of the Republic of Ecuador, with a population of slightly over 33,000 (2020). The province is divided into the Cantons of Ecuador, cantons of San Cristóbal Island, San Cristóbal, Santa Cruz Island (Galápagos), Santa Cruz, and Isabela Island (Galápagos), Isabela, the three most populated islands in the chain. The Pitcairn Islands (; Pitkern: '), officially the Pitcairn, Henderson, Ducie and Oeno Islands, is a group of four volcanic islands in the southern Pacific Ocean that form the sole British Overseas Territory in the Pacific Ocean.
