Zhongzheng District, Keelung
Zhongzheng District or Jhongjheng District () is a district (Taiwan), district of Keelung, Keelung City, Taiwan. The district is the city seat of Keelung City. Geography Zhongzheng District encompasses Hoping Island (:zh:和平島, 和平島) and the nearby Keelung Islet, as well as the more distant Pengjia Islet, Mianhua Islet and Huaping Islet. Pingfong Rock (), just east of Mianhua Islet, is the easternmost point under the actual control of Taiwan (ROC). Pengjia Lighthouse
The Pengjia Lighthouse () is a lighthouse in Pengjia Islet, Zhongzheng District, Keelung, Taiwan. History The first phase construction of the lighthouse started in 1906 and completed in 1908. It started its service on 20 September 1909. National Museum Of Marine Science And Technology

History The museum building was originally constructed as the North Thermal Power Plant in 1937 by the Taiwan under Japanese rule, Japanese government, the first power plant in Taiwan constructed on a Land reclamation, reclaimed land. The power plant was decommissioned in 1981 and left abandoned. In 1990, the planning committee to establish the museum was set up, in which in 1997 the preparatory office was subsequently established as well. Keelung Fort Commander's Official Residence
The Keelung Fort Commander's Official Residence () is a former residence in Zhongzheng District, Keelung City, Taiwan. History The building was constructed in 1931 during the Japanese rule of Taiwan for the residence of Keelung Nagami Bus company employees, in which the company was located at the north of the building. It was built by the company owner, Isuke Nagami. After the handover of Taiwan from Japan to the Republic of China in 1945, due to the original commander's residence having been bombed, the Fortification Command used this building as the temporary Commander's Residence. The building was later rented by the Li family, thus it got its name Li's house. On 13 April 2021, the Keelung City Cultural Affairs Bureau announced that the residence would be opened to the public on weekends. Ershawan Battery
Ershawan Battery (), or better known as Tenable Gate of the Sea () is a battery emplacements camp in Zhongzheng District, Keelung, Taiwan. It was built during Taiwan's Qing era and was the site of combat between the French and Chinese forces during the Sino-French War. It was the command post of Liu Ming-chuan, who was later appointed by Qing court as the first governor of Taiwan, when he was charged with the defense of Keelung during the war. It lost its military value under Japanese rule and is currently listed as a class one national historical monument. History The battery was first constructed in 1840 by Yao Ying (), disciplinary officer of the Qing garrison in Taiwan. It was originally located by the sea and was used by the garrison to fend off British assaults during the Opium War. It was part of the Taiwan Seventeen Fortification Plan (), which Yao composed and presented to the Qing court.

Chung Cheng Park (Keelung)
The Zhongzheng Park () is a park located in Xinyi District and Zhongzheng District of Keelung City, Taiwan. Zhongzheng Park traces its history to 1933 during the Japanese rule of Taiwan. It was built as Ishizaka Park by Sōsaku Ishizaka ( 石坂荘作), and he donated it to the government of Keelung City.
