Zhina (or Jina) Modares Gorji is an Iranian book seller, and feminist podcaster in the city of Sanandaj. She has been imprisoned for sedition and she is a human rights cause celebre. She was included in the BBC's 100 inspiration women in 2024. Life Gorji is a Baroch woman who was a book seller in the Iranian city of Sanandaj. She was first arrested in September 2022. Karima Baloch
Karima Baloch (; 8 March 1983 – 20/22 December 2020), also known as Karima Mehrab (), was a Baloch human rights activist from Balochistan, Pakistan. She was the first female chairperson of the Baloch Students Organization (BSO). She was included in the 100 Women List by the ''BBC'' in 2016, where she was identified as a political activist campaigning for the "independence for Balochistan from Pakistan." In 2015, Karima fled Pakistan and took refuge in Canada after fearing for her life for speaking out against enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings allegedly carried out by the Pakistani military. The Coalition For Women In Journalism (CFWIJ) is a New York–based non-profit organization that functions globally. The organization is supported by Craig Newmark Philanthropies. Background The Coalition For Women In Journalism, also known as The Coalition or CFWIJ, is a support organization for female journalists from around the globe.
