Kunshan Football Club ( zh, 昆山足球俱乐部) or Kunshan FC, formerly known as Zhenjiang Huasa, was a professional Chinese football club based in Kunshan, Jiangsu, China. They participated in the Chinese Super League, under licence from the Chinese Football Association (CFA). It was founded on 12 December 2014 as the amateur Zhenjiang Huasa Football Club, before moving to Kunshan, where the Kunshan municipal party committee and municipal government became their major shareholders. The club was dissolved in March 2023. History Zhenjiang Huasa, whose members were mainly fans of FC Barcelona in China, was founded on 12 December 2014. Huasa, meaning ''Chinese Barca'', was used as the club's name. They played in the 2016 China Amateur Football League and won the winners of 2016 Jiangsu Provincial Football League. Kunshan is a county-level city in southeastern Jiangsu province with Shanghai bordering its eastern border and Suzhou on its western boundary. It is under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Suzhou. Name There is a strong possibility that the name Kunshan is derived from a hill, but which one is controversial. According to an impacted version, the hill is present-day Little Kunshan (''Xiaokunshan'') in Shanghai's Songjiang District. The character (''Kun'') was the old Chinese name for the Kunlun Mountains. Goran Miscevic (; born 26 March 1963) is a Canadian professional soccer coach and former player. He was most recently the manager of German club FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt, Rot-Weiß Erfurt. Career Miscevic was born in Virovitica, Socialist Republic of Croatia, SR Croatia, Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, SFR Yugoslavia to a Serbs of Croatia, Serbian family. He played professionally in Yugoslavia and Germany. After his retirement from competitive soccer, he obtained a coaching license from the German Football Association. Miscevic managed VfR Pforzheim in Germany for two years. In 1997, he immigrated to Canada and in 2000 served as an assistant coach for Glen Shields of the Canadian Professional Soccer League (1998-2005), Canadian Professional Soccer League. The Chinese Football League 2 (), or China League Two, is the third-tier association football league of the People's Republic of China. The league is under the auspices of the Chinese Football Association and operated by the Chinese Professional Football League (CFL). The 2021 China League One ( zh, 2021中国足球协会甲级联赛) is the 18th season of the China League One, the second tier of the Chinese football league pyramid, since its establishment in 2004. Effects of the COVID-19 pandemic The 2021 China League One season was scheduled to start on 17 March 2021, but later was postponed. On 1 April, the Chinese Football Association announced that the season would start on 24 April 2021 and the format of the season. The season was divided into 4 stages (10, 8, 8 and 8 rounds respectively). In the first stage, 18 teams were divided into 3 groups based on the hosts and last season's rankings. The 2020 China League One ( zh, 2020中国足球协会甲级联赛) was the 17th season of the China League One, the second tier of the Chinese football league pyramid, since its establishment in 2004. The season was scheduled to begin on 29 February and end on 1 November, but was postponed following the COVID-19 pandemic in China. On 26 August 2020, Chinese Football Association announced that the season would be resumed on 12 September 2020 and 18 teams would be split into three groups in three locations, Group A in Chengdu, hosted by Chengdu Better City, Group B in Meizhou, hosted by Meizhou Hakka, and Group C in Changzhou, hosted by Kunshan F.C.
