Zephyr (film)
''Zephyr'' ( tr, Zefir) is a 2010 Turkish drama film directed by Belma Baş, which tells the story of a young girl's (Zefir) longing for her mother while staying with her grandparents for summer holidays in the beautiful mountains of the Black Sea region. The film was selected for the 47th Antalya "Golden Orange" International Film Festival and the 35th Toronto International Film Festival, where it premiered. It is a thematic sequel to the director's previous short ''Boreas'' ( tr, Poyraz). Plot Zephyr is a strong-willed little girl, spending her summer holidays in her grandparents’ house up in the Eastern Black Sea mountains. With her mother often away travelling, she has had to get used to being alone. Zephyr takes refuge in daydreams, creating whole worlds in her mind to cope with her mother's absence. BELMA is a Polish defence company located in Białe Błota, Bydgoszcz County, Białe Błota, in the vicinity of Bydgoszcz. It is one of the oldest industrial plants in Poland. The 47th International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival ( tr, 47. Uluslararası Antalya Altın Portakal Film Festivali) was a film festival held in Antalya, Turkey which ran from October 9 to 14, 2010. Prizes were awarded in four competitions in the course of the festival, at which 191 films were shown at 12 venues across the city with the theme ''Cinema and Social Interaction'' and Italian actress Claudia Cardinale was the guest of honor. The 16th Festival on Wheels ( tr, 16 Gazici Festival) was a film festival held in Ankara, Turkey from December 3 to 9, 2010; Artvin, Turkey from December 10 to 16, 2010; and Ordu, Turkey from December 17 to 19, 2010. The 35th annual Toronto International Film Festival, (TIFF) was held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada between September 9 and September 19, 2010. The opening night gala presented '' Score: A Hockey Musical'', a Canadian comedy-drama musical film. '' Last Night'' closed the festival on September 19. 2010 TIFF included 258 feature films, down from 264 in 2009. However, the number of short films at the 2010 festival increased to 81 (compared to 70 in 2009), making the total number of films 339, five more than in 2009. Seyhan is a district-municipality in the Adana Province of Turkey, core of the Adana urban area.
