Zegapain
is a Japanese anime television series created by Sunrise staff and manga artist Takehiko Itō. Produced by Sunrise, TV Tokyo and Dentsu, it is directed by Masami Shimoda, with Mayori Sekijima handling series scripts, Takehiko Itō and Akihiko Yamashita designing the characters and Ayako Ōtsuka composing the music. The series premiered in Japan on April 6, 2006 on TV Tokyo and later BS Japan and AT-X. On October 2, 2007, Bandai Entertainment released the first Region 1 volume of ''Zegapain'' with the last volume released on August 5, 2008. Following the 2012 closure of Bandai Entertainment, Sunrise announced at Otakon 2013, that Sentai Filmworks has rescued ''Zegapain'', along with a handful of other former BEI titles. Kana Hanazawa
is a Japanese actress and singer. A prolific voice performer in anime, she has amassed several film and television credits since her debut in 2003. She won the Seiyu Awards, Seiyu Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2015, and won the Newtype Anime Awards for Best Voice Actress three times in 2015, 2017 and 2018. Takehiko Itō
is a Japanese manga artist best known for his work on the manga ''Outlaw Star'' from his affiliated Morning Star Studio. He was also the primary creative mind behind other works of fiction set in the ''Toward Stars'' universe including the ''Uchuu Eiyuu Monogatari'' manga and ''Angel Links'' anime series. Career Before founding Morning Star Studio in his late 20s, Itō studied planning and editing at the design office Shindosha. is a Japanese anime television network owned by AT-X, Inc. was founded on June 26, 2000 as a subsidiary of TV Tokyo Medianet, which is (in turn) owned by TV Tokyo. Shochiku
