Zeekr X
The Zeekr X is a battery electric subcompact luxury crossover SUV developed and produced by Zeekr, a premium NEV brand of Geely. It is the third production vehicle produced by the brand and was launched in April 2023. The model is based on the Geely developed Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) electric vehicle platform shared with the Smart #1, and the electric motors and batteries are made by VREMT (Viridi E-Mobility Technology), a company fully owned by Geely, which also produces the motors and batteries for Smart #1. Zeekr
Zeekr is a Chinese automobile brand owned by Geely Automobile Holdings. Founded in 2021, it specializes in electric cars. History Zeekr was founded in March 2021 as a premium brand for battery-powered vehicles by the Geely Group to compete against Nio and Tesla, among others. The Zeekr models are to be based on the SEA platform presented in Autumn 2020. In December 2021, Geely announced that Zeekr would be collaborating with Waymo to develop an all-electric, autonomous ride-hailing vehicle for the United States. In January 2022, a cooperation between Zeekr and Mobileye was announced. The aim of this is to have Level 4 autonomous driving in production by 2024. The Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform is a modular electric vehicle platform developed by Geely Holding. The platform is planned to be deployed to Geely Holding portfolio brands along with the Smart joint venture with Daimler AG.
