Zee Chitra Gaurav Puraskar
Zee Chitra Gaurav Puraskar are annual awards presented by the Zee Marathi television network to honour both artistic and technical excellence in the Marathi-language film industry of India. The Awards were presented for the first time on 2000. The members of the jury select the winners. The awards are divided into two categories: popular awards and technical awards. The ceremony is televised on the Marathi television network Zee Marathi. It was not held in 2021 due to COVID-19 pandemic. Shrinivas Khale
Shrinivas Vinayak Khale (30 April 1926 – 2 September 2011), fondly addressed as "Khale Kaka", was an Indian composer/music director from Maharashtra, India. Career Shrinivas initially studied at the Music College (now the Faculty of Performing Arts of Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda) and obtained his Diploma in vocal music. Shrinivas was trained by Madhusudan Joshi of the Agra-Atrauli gharana (school of music). Although Khale primarily composed music for the Marathi film industry, he composed music in other Indian languages as well: Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati and Sanskrit. He recorded 141 poems and composed music for six Marathi films (''Yanda Kartavya Ahe''–1956, ''Bolki Bahauli''–1961, ''Palsala Pane Teen''–year not known, ''Jivhala''–1968, ''Porki''–1970, and ''Sobati''–1971 ; A film ''Laxmi Pujan''–1952 was never released). Sulochana Chavan
Sulochana Kadam (13 March 1933 – 10 December 2022), better known as Sulochana Chavan, was an Indian singer who was known for her lavanis in Marathi. Amongst various others, her famous lavanis included "Tuzhya Usala Laagal Kolha", "Padarawarti Jartaricha" both from film '' Malhari Martand'' (1965), "Solaawa Varees Dhokyacha", "Kasa Kay Patil Bara Hay Ka?" both from film '' Sawaal Majha Aika!'' (1964). Shrikant Moghe (6 November 1929 - 6 March 2021) was an Indian film and theatre actor who has worked in several Hindi and Marathi films. Hridaynath Mangeshkar (Marathi pronunciation: �ɾud̪əjnaːt̪ʰ məŋɡeːʃkəɾ is an Indian music director. He is the only son of musician Deenanath Mangeshkar and younger brother of Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle. He is popularly known as ''Balasaheb'' in the music and film industry. Madhukar Toradmal
Madhukar Toradmal (24 July 1932 – 2 July 2017) was a Marathi actor, writer and professor who has acted in numerous Marathi dramas and movies. He was also a writer and translator. He translated over 20 plays. He has been associated with Marathi theatre since 1971 and till date has performed in 16 different plays and a variety of roles. He died on 2 July 2017 in Mumbai. Krishnarao Sable
Krishnarao Ganpatrao Sable, popularly known as Shahir Sable (3 September 1923 – 20 March 2015), was a Marathi language folk artist from Maharashtra, India. He was an accomplished singer, playwright, performer and folk theatre (Loknatya) producer & director. Early life Shahir Sable was born in a small village called Pasarni, in the Wai taluka of district Satara to Ganpatrao Sable in 1923. He learned to play the flute in childhood. After finishing his primary schooling in Pasarni, he moved to his maternal uncle's place in Amalner, Jalgaon, where he studied till 7th grade and soon left school. Yashwant Dev
Yashwant Dev (1 November 1926 – 30 October 2018) was a Marathi poet and composer from Maharashtra, India. He has contributed scores for many Marathi and Hindi movies. Career Dev was taught music by his father and made his public debut at All India Radio as a sitar player. He worked for Akashwani's Nagpur station in 1960s. He gained wide recognition once he launched the TV program Bhavsaragam, which helped make him popular across the Indian state of Maharashtra. After his first wife's death, he married Karuna Dev (nee Desai), more famous by her name Neelam Prabhu during her marriage to Marathi stage actor Baban Prabhu when she was a major star in AIR's Shrutikaa program. Suman Kalyanpur (born as Suman Hemmadi;January 28th 1937) is an Indian playback singer, one of the best-known and most respected playback singers in India.
