Zbečník is a village and municipal part of Hronov in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. Geography Zbečník is located about 5 km from the border with Poland. Jírova Hora
Jírova hora (literally 'Jíra's mountain') is a hill in the territory of Hronov in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It lies in the Broumov Highlands and has an altitude of . It is situated between the villages of Zbečník, Rokytník and Velký Dřevíč. Description The eastern slope of the hill is very steep. The whole hill is covered mainly by coniferous forest (mainly spruce trees) and meadows. A deciduous forest grows on the southern slope, falling to Zbečník. A part of the forest on the top of the hill and the north slope is formed by young coniferous trees. A very small stream flows from the northern slope, from Rokytník to Velký Dřevíč. On the top of the hill there is a radio communications transmitter. Hronov () is a town in Náchod District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 6,100 inhabitants. It is known as the birthplace of writer Alois Jirásek. Metuje
The Metuje (; ) is a river in the Czech Republic, a left tributary of the Elbe River. It flows through the Hradec Králové Region. It is long. Etymology The river was originally named Medhuje. It was derived from the Illyrian language, Illyrian word ''medh'' or ''met'', meaning 'middle'. It meant the middle river, i.e. the river lying between the rivers Úpa and Orlice. Characteristic The Metuje originates in the territory of Jívka in the Broumov Highlands at an elevation of and flows to Jaroměř, where it enters the Elbe River at an elevation of . It is long. Broumov (; ) is a town in Náchod District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 7,100 inhabitants.
