Zaur Ardzinba (Заур Джотович Ардзинба; 8 May 1950 – 15 April 2015) was a businessman from Abkhazia who unsuccessfully ran for President in the Abkhazian presidential election, 2009, 2009 election. 2009 election Attempt by Khajimba and Ardzinba to form an alliance In the run-up to the election, various opposition politicians and organisation often jointly expressed their criticism of the government. Qari Ziaur Rahman is a citizen of Afghanistan who is reported to be a leader of the Taliban's and al-Qaeda's leadership. ''Artush and Zaur'' () is a novel by Azerbaijani writer and journalist Ali Akbar (alias of Alakbar Aliyev) published in 2009. It narrates the love story of two fictional men: Artush Saroyan, an Armenian, and Zaur Jalilov, an Azerbaijani. The novel became a controversy due to the existing enmity between Armenia and Azerbaijan as a result of the ongoing Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as homosexuality being a taboo topic in both societies, despite being made legal in the early 2000s. Terek (river)
The Terek () is a major river in the Northern Caucasus. It originates in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region of Georgia and flows through North Caucasus region of Russia into the Caspian Sea. It rises near the juncture of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range and the Khokh Range, to the southwest of Mount Kazbek, winding north in a white torrent between the town of Stepantsminda and the village of Gergeti toward the Russian region North Ossetia and the city of Vladikavkaz. Zaur (village)
Zaur or Zaurovo was an Ingush village that existed in the 18th–19th centuries on the right bank of the Terek River and in the Tarskoye Valley. According to most sources, the fortress Vladikavkaz was founded on its territory in 1784, while according to other sources, Vladikavkaz was built near Zaur. Etymology The Ingush name of the village, ''Zovr-Kov'', translates as "the yard/settlement of Zaur". According to Russian historian , the village was known by the Armenians as ''Zura'', by the Byzantines as ''Tzur'', and by Arab writers as ''Suariag'' and ''Saul''. Zaur Umarovich Sadayev (; born 6 November 1989) is a Russian former professional footballer. Club career He made his debut with FC Terek Grozny in the Russian Premier League in 2008. On 30 January 2013, he was transferred to the Israeli Beitar Jerusalem along with Dzhabrail Kadiyev, both Muslims. Zaza Pachulia ( ka, ზაზა ფაჩულია; born Zaur Pachulia; 10 February 1984) is a Georgian professional basketball executive and former player who is a basketball operations consultant for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
