Mirko Zardini
Mirko Zardini (Verona, born in 1955) is the former Director and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA) in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is an architect who teaches, curates exhibitions, and writes about contemporary architecture and urban issues. Zardini is an active member and former trustee of the Association of Art Museum Directors (AAMD), is on the Executive Committee of the International Confederation of Architectural Museums (ICAM), and is a member of the Canadian Art Museum Directors Organization (CAMDO). Canadian Centre for Architecture Zardini was senior consulting curator of the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA) from 2003-2005 and was appointed director and chief curator in 2005. He has shaped the institution's collection, research, exhibitions, programs and publications to emphasize the CCA's role as a venue for critical discourse about contemporary culture and the relationship of architecture to politics and society. Elsa Matilde Zardini
Elsa Matilde Zardini (1949–2020) was an Argentine-Paraguayan botanist, teacher, curator, and explorer. She made botanical expeditions in the US, Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. Three botanical taxon names were authored by Zardini. Her specialization was the flora of the Plata basin, with an emphasis on that of Paraguay. Early life and education In 1973 Zardini earned a master's degree in Science, and in 1974 a PhD, both at the National University of La Plata in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Career Zardini was one of the disciples of the Argentine botanist Ángel Lulio Cabrera among them: Genoveva Dawson, Otto Solbrig, Jorge Morello, Humberto A. Fabris (1924–1976), Delia Abbiatti, Noemí Correa, Delia Añón Suárez, Cristina Orsi, Amelia Torres, Aída Pontiroli, Jorge Crisci, Roberto Kiesling and Fernando Zuloaga. Sergio Zardini
Sergio Zardini (22 November 1931 – 22 February 1966) was an Italian bobsledder who competed from the late 1950s to the mid-1960s. He won the silver medal in the two-man event at the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck. He was born in Turin. Zardini also won ten medals at the FIBT World Championships with one gold (Four-man: 1963), six silvers (Two-man: 1958, 1959, 1962, 1963; Four-man: 1959, 1962), and three bronzes (Two-man: 1960, 1961; Four-man: 1958). Following the 1964 games, Zardini emigrated to Canada where he continued to compete in bobsledding.
