''Zapatlela'' is an Indian Marathi-language horror comedy film series created by Mahesh Kothare. The first film, ''Zapatlela'', was released in 1993, followed by the second installment, ''Zapatlela 2'', in 2013. The third installment of the series is in development. Films ''Zapatlela'' The first installment in the series, directed and produced by Mahesh Kothare under Jenma Films International. It is inspired from the 1988 American film ''Child's Play'', directed by Don Mancini. The film stars Mahesh Kothare, Laxmikant Berde, Pooja Pawar, Kishori Ambiye, Madhu Kambikar, Jairam Kulkarni, Vijay Chavan, Ravindra Berde, Raghavendra Kadkol, and Bipin Varti, with Dilip Prabhavalkar making a cameo appearance and providing the voiceover for the puppet character Tatya Vinchu. Mahesh Kothare
Mahesh Ambar Kothare (Marathi pronunciation: əɦeːʃ koʈʰaːɾe born 28 September 1953) is an Indian film actor, director and producer of Marathi and Hindi films. Tatya Vinchu (, ), also known as Tatya Bichoo (), is a fictional character and antagonist from the Marathi language, Marathi-language comedy horror ''Zapatlela (film series), Zapatlela'' franchise. Created by Mahesh Kothare, designed by Ramdas Padhye, and voiced by Dilip Prabhavalkar, Tatya Vinchu is a possessed puppet who seeks to find the son, Zapatlela (film series)#Aditya Bolke, Aditya Bolke (played by Adinath Kothare) of his former prey Laxmikant Bolke (portrayed by Laxmikant Berde), with the goal of becoming human once again. Anil Mohile
Anil Mohile (1940 - 2012) was an Indian music composer and music arranger. Early life He was born in Mumbai, grew up in a musically rich environment. His grandfather, Pandharinath Mohile, played the harmonium, while his father was skilled in the bulbul tarang and flute. Anil started playing various instruments at the age of seven and performed tabla on All India Radio's Gammat-Jammat. He began formal training in violin under Mangesh Tendulkar at 12 and mastered the South Indian violin style under Vishnushastri Pandit.
