Zane Robertson
Zane Robertson (born 14 November 1989) is a New Zealand middle and long-distance runner. He won the bronze medal in the 5000 metres at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Robertson is the Oceanian record holder for the 10 kilometres and half marathon, and New Zealand record holder for the marathon. He also holds the area best in the road 10 miles. He is currently serving an eight-year ban for breaching two World Athletics anti-doping rules. At the age of 17, he and his twin brother Jake moved from New Zealand to Iten, Kenya, to further their running careers. On 22 March 2023, it was announced that Robertson had been banned from competition for eight years following two World Athletics anti-doping rule violations. He received a four-year ban for the use of EPO found in in-competition test in May 2022 and an additional four years for tampering with the doping control process, effectively ending his athletics career. Kagawa Marugame Half Marathon
The is an annual road running competition which takes place in early February in Marugame, Japan. 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships
The 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Athletics was the fifteenth edition of the international indoor track and field competition, organised by the IAAF. The event was held between 7–9 March 2014 at the Ergo Arena in Sopot, Poland. Preparation Host bidding The International Association of Athletics Federations, IAAF announced on 1 September 2011 that it had received bids from Poland and Croatia to host the championships. Later Zagreb, Croatia withdrew due to lack of funding. On 11 November 2011 at a Council meeting in Monaco, the IAAF announced that Sopot, as the only remaining bidder, would host the championships. The men's 5000 metres at the 2013 World Championships in Athletics was held at the Luzhniki Stadium on 13 and 16 August. Fifteen qualified for the final. Jake Robertson
Jake Robertson (born 14 November 1989) is a New Zealand distance runner. When he was 17 he moved to Iten, Kenya with his twin brother and fellow professional runner Zane Robertson. He competed in the 5000m at the 2013 World Championships in Moscow, where he finished 14th in the second heat in a time of 14:09.55 and did not qualify for the final. At the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow he finished ninth in the 5000 metres and seventh in the 10,000 metres. Robertson was runner up in the 2017 Great North Run in 1:00:12, 6 seconds behind Mo Farah. In 2018 he took first place at the Houston Half Marathon with a time of 1:00:01. On 4 March 2018 Robertson came third in the Lake Biwa Marathon, in a time of 2:08:26, breaking Rod Dixon's New Zealand record by 33 seconds. In competitive sports, doping is the use of banned athletic performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) by athletes, as a way of cheating.
