Zamiruddin Ahmad
Zamiruddin Ahmad (1878 – 6 July 1940) was a Sufi scholar active in the early 20th century in the Bengal region, now part of Bangladesh, and was a successor to Rashid Ahmad Gangohi. He served as the founding patron of Darul Uloom Hathazari for over three decades, and Al Jamia Al Islamia Patiya was established under his direction. His successors include Azizul Haque and Muhammad Yunus. Early life Zamiruddin Ahmad was born in 1878 in Shoabil village of Fatikchhari in the Chittagong region (present-day Bangladesh). He experienced early hardship following the death of his father, Nur Uddin, which resulted in financial difficulties for his family. Seeking employment, he moved to Rangoon (now Yangon, Myanmar), where he worked in a factory. During this time, he engaged in informal religious learning under a Punjabi imam and developed a particular interest in the text ''Rahe Najat''. Jamir Uddin Nanupuri
Jamir Uddin Nanupuri (1936 – 5 February 2011) was a Bangladeshi Sufi-oriented Islamic scholar who served as the third Director-General of Jamia Islamia Obaidia Nanupur and was active in traditional waz mahfils. He was the spiritual successor of Sultan Ahmad Nanupuri in the Sufi tradition. He also founded the Al Manahil Welfare Foundation Bangladesh, and over 500 madrasas known as 'Jamiria madrasa' were established under his name or influence. Muhammad Jamiruddin Sircar ( ; born 1 December 1931) is a Bangladeshi lawyer and politician who served as the acting President of Bangladesh in 2002. He served as the Speaker of the Parliament of Bangladesh.
