Zadran (Pashtun Tribe)
The Zadran ( ''dzadrāṇ''; pronounced ''dzādroṇ'' in the Khost-Paktia dialect), also spelled Dzadran or Jadran, Jandran, zadroon, is a Pashtun tribe that inhabits the Loya or greater Paktia region in southeastern Afghanistan (Khost, Paktia, and Paktika provinces) and Kurram Agency parts of Waziristan in neighboring Pakistan. "Zadran: Pashtun tribe mainly residing in the “Zadran Arc” a 9-district area encompassing portions of the Khost, Paktia, and Paktika and Pakistan’s Kpk Balochistan Punjab provinces." The Zadran’s are a branch of the Karlani tribal confederacy. They are the largest Pashtun tribal group in Afghanistan's mountainous southeastern region, usually found in areas that are unsuitable for settled agricultural production. They have a reputation for militancy dating to the Soviet–Afghan War. Shapoor Zadran
Shapoor Zadran (; born 8 July 1987) is an Afghan cricketer who currently plays for the national cricket team. He is a left-arm fast-medium bowler. Early life Zadran was born on 8 July 1987 in Logar Province, Afghanistan. He was a refugee in Peshawar, Pakistan, where he started playing cricket along with Mohammad Nabi, Asghar Stanikzai, and Dawlat Zadran. Domestic career Zadran made his debut for Afghanistan against Chitral in the 2003/4 Inter-District Senior Tournament. His international debut for the side came against Oman in the 2004 ACC Trophy. Zadran also represented Afghanistan in the 2006 ACC Trophy, playing a single match against Bahrain, in the final which Afghanistan lost by 3 wickets. Noor Ali Zadran (Pashto: نور علی ځدراڼ; born 10 July 1988) is a former Afghan cricketer who played for the Afghanistan national cricket team. Ali is a right-handed Batting (cricket), batsman and a right-arm Seam bowling, medium-fast bowler. He cites Ricky Ponting as his cricketing hero and inspiration to play. Dawlat Zadran (; born 19 March 1988) is a former Afghan cricketer. Zadran is a right-arm fast bowler and a right-handed batsman, though he is better known for his bowling.
