Zach Porter
Allstar Weekend was an American pop rock band based in Poway, California. The band gained its popularity from MySpace and then the Disney Channel television network. The band consisted of lead singer Zachary "Zach" Porter, bassist Cameron Quiseng, drummer Michael Martinez, and lead guitarist Nathan Darmody. In September 2011, Darmody left the band and later pursued his solo career. They were best known for the singles "Dance Forever", "Come Down with Love", and "A Different Side of Me". They disbanded on August 4, 2013. Their debut album '' Suddenly Yours'' was released in October 2010 and peaked at number 197 on the ''Billboard'' 200. In September 2011, Zach, Cameron, and Michael released their second studio album entitled ''All the Way''. Poway () is a city in San Diego County, California, United States. Poway's rural roots influenced its motto "The City in the Country". Drive-Thru Records
Drive-Thru Records was a California-based independent record label owned by siblings Richard and Stefanie Reines. The label was partially responsible for popularizing the pop-punk/emo merger sound of the early to mid-2000s. After facing financial obstacles in getting their bands' music into stores, Drive-Thru entered into a distribution deal with MCA/Universal. In 2003 MCA was dissolved and folded into Geffen Records. One of the clauses of that agreement was MCA/Geffen being able to sign any band of their choosing from Drive-Thru's roster. Once the Universal deal ended, they signed a contract with independent label Sanctuary Records. Starting with a new roster, the label garnered a top 10 platinum hit with "Here In Your Arms" by Hellogoodbye. However, Sanctuary was on the verge of bankruptcy, and sold their assets to Universal Music. Drive-Thru Records got trapped in that deal, and were stuck with UMG, the catalog division of Universal. ''Suddenly'' is the debut extended play by American pop rock band Allstar Weekend, who were signed with Hollywood Records at the time of release. It was released on June 21, 2010, in the US and on July 20, 2010, in Canada. It has been met with some commercial success, debuting at number 62 on the ''Billboard'' 200. The track "The Weekend" was not released as a single but a music video was made. Singles "A Different Side of Me" was released as the first single to Radio Disney during February, 2010.
