Zabivaka
Zabivaka () was the official mascot of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which was held in Russia. The name is a blend of the Russian words забивать ("to strike") and собака ("dog"). Designed by student designer Ekaterina Bocharova, aged 22, the mascot was selected by internet voting in Russia, beating out a tiger and a cat. In pre-World Cup events, the mascot was played by English YouTuber and actor Rafe Young. Design The mascot was unveiled on 21 October 2016. It represents an anthropomorphic Eurasian wolf (''Canis lupus lupus'') with brown and white fur, wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the words "RUSSIA 2018" and orange goggles — according to the designer, these are not ski goggles, but sports goggles like those used in cycling: "Zabivaka is so fast on the field that he needs eye protection". Fuleco () was the List of FIFA World Cup official mascots, official mascot of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, hosted in Brazil. Fuleco is a Brazilian three-banded armadillo, a species of armadillo which is native to Brazil and categorized as a vulnerable species on the IUCN Red List. Fuleco was officially launched as part of Brazilian broadcaster TV Globo's weekly ''Fantástico'' entertainment show on 25 November 2012. La'eeb () was the official mascot of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which was held in Qatar. The name means "super-skilled player" in Arabic, and is a representation of the popular men's headdress keffiyeh, used in many parts of the Arab world. He was designed by Indian firm Fractal Picture, and animated by Qatari firm Katara Studios. Creation and design La'eeb is an anthropomorphic keffiyeh that floats and has eyes, lips, and an open mouth, and is presented as a joyful character that loves to help everyone. Vučko (Serbo-Croatian, Serbo-Croatian Cyrillic: Вучко) is the Olympic mascot of the 1984 Winter Olympics, 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo. It was created by the Slovenian painter :bs:Jože_Trobec, Jože Trobec. The mascot is a wolf, many of which live in the Dinaric Alps, where Sarajevo is located. Through his smiling, frightened or serious facial expressions, Vučko gave the wolf a friendly appearance, helping to transform the often fierce image which the animal previously enjoyed.
