The Yuva Srujan Puraskar (Navsarjan Chetana Puraskar) is an annual award conferred by the Department of Art and Culture of the Government of Goa. The main objective of this award is recognizing and observing the achievements of young individuals hailing from Goa who have demonstrated exemplary prowess in the domain of art and culture. In recognition of their artistic achievements, eligible artists receive a commemorative item, a certificate of appreciation, and a financial reward amounting to per individual. Aims The objective of this program is to pay tribute to the young artists who have made significant contributions to the field of Goan art and culture. It seeks to honor and recognize the exceptional achievements of these talented individuals in their respective artistic domains. Sonia Shirsat
Sonia Shirsat (born 1980) is an Indian fadista. Referred to as the "ambassador of Goan music to the world" she has performed across India and the world and often during cultural and music events in Goa. She has sung in 15 different languages Shirsat has been promoting Fado in Goa, by holding training and introductory classes to this form of music at various parts of the region. Early life In her earlier day job, Shirsat was a lecturer of law. She "bagged an international award for her speaking skills, much before she started singing professionally". Sachin Naik
Sachin Naik (1978 – 6 December 2018) was an Indian painter and printmaker, best remembered for his watercolour paintings, most notably those of Pune and historic Goa. A graduate of the University of Hyderabad and Goa University, his works have been exhibited at the Kala Academy, the Institute Menezes Braganza, the Jehangir Art Gallery, and the Lalit Kala Akademi. He briefly taught watercolor painting at the Savitribai Phule Pune University before his death. A posthumous exhibition of his work was exhibited at the Darpan Art Gallery in 2019. Frederika Menezes (born 1979 or 1980) is an Indian author, poet, and artist best known for her book ''Unforgotten'', a love story for young adults published in 2014. Aarti Nayak-Kamath is an Indian Hindustani classical music vocalist working in the Gwalior gharana tradition. She has also performed in Sangeet Natak musical drama. Early life Nayak hails from a musical family. Her father was Ramrao Nayak, a noted vocalist of the Kirana-Gwalior Gharana. Paresh Narendra Kamat (born 28 March 1968) is an Indian Konkani poet. Kamat was born on 28 March 1968. He is a pharmacist and has been writing modern Konkani poetry for thirty years. His sensuous poetry is considered pioneering.
