Yuriy Alimovych Halushkin ( uk, Юрій Алімович Галушкін; born 26 June 1971) is a Ukrainian brigadier general and former Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces (Ukraine), Territorial Defense Forces from 1 January 2022 until May 15 2022. On 15 May 2022 Yuriy Halushkin was dismissed by president Zelensky and replaced with Major General Ihor Tantsyura as Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Territorial Defence Forces ( uk, Війська територіальної оборони, translit=Viiska terytorialnoi oborony) are the military reserve component of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Territorial Defence Forces were formed after the reorganization of the Territorial Defence Battalions, volunteer militias created during the War in Donbas under the command of the Ministry of Defence. Territorial Defence units existed from 2015 until 2021 in semi-organized forms until 2022 when they were formally organized into a unified defense corps under the Territorial Defence Forces.
