Yuri Pavlov (basketball)
Yuri Mikhailovich Pavlov (; 14 December 1935 – 27 July 2015) was a Soviet Union, Soviet Russians, Russian painter, member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists (before 1992 — the Leningrad Union of Artists), who live and work in Saint Petersburg, Leningrad - Petersburg, regarded as one of representatives of the Leningrad School of Painting, Leningrad school of painting. Biography In 1962 Yuri Pavlov graduated from the Repin Institute of Arts, Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in the Victor Oreshnikov workshop with the rank of artist of painting. His degree work was a painting titled ''"Anton Chekhov and Isaak Levitan"''. Since 1964 Yuri Pavlov has participated in Art Exhibitions. In 1972 he took part in the famous Exhibition of eleven Leningrad artists. Pavlov paint portraits, landscapes, still life, genre compositions. Pavlov died on 27 July 2015, at the age of 79. Orenburg Oblast
Orenburg Oblast (also Orenburzhye) is a federal subject of Russia (an oblast), mainly located in Eastern Europe. Its administrative center is the city of Orenburg. From 1938 to 1957, it bore the name Chkalov Oblast in honor of Valery Chkalov. As of the 2021 Census, the oblast had a population of 1,862,767, down from 2,033,072 in the 2010 Census. The Exhibition of eleven artists () was opened at the end of 1972 in Leningrad on the Okhta district in the new Exhibition Hall of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation. It became a significant important event in the Soviet fine art of the 1970s-1980s. History The idea of the exhibition came from three artists - Valery Vatenin, German Yegoshin, and Zaven Arshakuny. These artists were friendly since 1950, when they studied in the painting department of Repin Institute.
