Yun Ok-hee
Yun Ok-hee (, ; born 1 March 1985) is a South Korean archer, who won the gold medal in the team and a silver in the individual competition at the 2006 Asian Games and is a former world number one. 2008 Summer Olympics At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing Yun finished her ranking round with a total of 667 points, six points behind ranking leader Park Sung-hyun. This gave her the second seed for the final competition bracket in which she faced Albina Kamaltdinova in the first round, beating the archer from Tajikistan 109-102. In the second round, Yun was too strong for Marie-Pier Beaudet (114-107) and via Chen Ling (113-103) in the third round she advanced to the quarter-finals. There she had no problem beating Khatuna Lorig 111-105. In the semi-final however, she was unable to win against the local Chinese favourite Zhang Juanjuan who equaled the newly set Olympic Record by Park Sung-Hyun of 115 points earlier that day. Recurve Archery
In archery, a recurve bow is one of the main Bow shape, shapes a bow (weapon), bow can take, with limbs that curve away from the archer when unstrung. A recurve bow stores more energy and delivers energy more efficiently than the equivalent straight-limbed bow, giving a greater amount of energy and speed to the arrow. Khatuna Lorig
Khatuna Lorig (; born January 1, 1974, as Khatuna Kvrivishvili, ka, ხათუნა ქვრივიშვილი) is a Georgian archer who immigrated to the United States. She has used at least 3 different last names while competing in and representing various different countries. * Khatuna Kvrivichvili, Soviet Union (part of the Unified Team) at Barcelona 1992. Chen Ling (; born June 16, 1987 in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu) is a female archer from the People's Republic of China. 2008 Summer Olympics At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Chen finished her ranking round with a total of 645 points. This gave her the 15th seed for the final competition bracket in which she faced Evangelia Psarra in the first round, beating the archer from Greece with 110-101. Marie-Pier Beaudet
Marie-Pier Beaudet (born December 12, 1986) is a former Canadian archer who competed at three Summer Olympic Games between 2004 and 2012. Beaudet made her international debut in 2002, and in addition to the Olympic Games has contested the Pan American Games, in which she won a silver medal in 2007, and the Commonwealth Games, in which she earned a bronze medal in 2010. Career Beaudet was born on December 12, 1986, in Quebec City, Quebec. She made her debut to the Canadian national team at the World Archery Youth Championships in 2002, and won her first international competition in Arizona that same year, a moment she reflected in 2015 as her greatest achievement. Following the 2012 Summer Olympics Beaudet took a year's break from archery to prioritise her mental health, returning to the sport in 2014. Park Sung-hyun (archer)
Park Sung-hyun (; born 1 January 1983) is an archer from South Korea who competed in two Olympic Games, winning three gold medals. Park made her international archery debut in 2001, winning the women's recurve title at that year's World Archery Championships. Her Olympic debut came at the 2004 Summer Olympics, where she won gold medals in both the women's individual and women's team events. She won two further medals at the 2008 Summer Olympics, achieving her third Olympic gold in the women's team event before earning the silver medal as the runner-up in the women's individual event.
