A manga artist, also known as a mangaka (), is a Cartoonist, comic artist who writes and/or illustrates manga. Most manga artists study at an art college or manga school or take on an apprenticeship with another artist before entering the industry as a primary creator. More rarely a manga artist breaks into the industry directly, without previously being an assistant. Key is a Japanese visual novel studio known for making dramatic and plot-oriented titles. It was formed on July 21, 1998, as a brand under the publisher Visual Arts (company), Visual Arts, and is located in Kita-ku, Osaka, Kita, Osaka Prefecture, Osaka. Key's debut visual novel ''Kanon (video game), Kanon'' (1999) combined an elaborate Plot (narrative), storyline, up-to-date anime-style art, and a musical score which helped to set the mood for the game. Key's second game, ''Air (video game), Air'' (2000), had a similarly complex storyline to ''Kanon'' and a more thorough gameplay. A visual novel (VN) is a form of digital interactive fiction. Visual novels are often associated with the medium of video games, but are not always labeled as such themselves. They combine a textual narrative with static or animated illustrations and a varying degree of interactivity. The format is more likely referred to as a visual novel game. ''It's a Wonderful Life'' is a 1946 American Christmas fantasy drama film produced and directed by Frank Capra. It is based on the short story and booklet " The Greatest Gift", self-published by Philip Van Doren Stern in 1943, which itself is loosely based on the 1843 Charles Dickens novella ''A Christmas Carol''.
