Yui Yoshioka (born March 26, 1987), known mononymously as Yui (stylized as YUI or yui), is a Japanese singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. In her solo career, she sold more than 5 million physical copies in Japan. She is popular in Japan and in surrounding countries, ranking number one in 2011 Count Down TV "Dearest Female Artist" and Music Station "Artist You Most Want to Marry" polls, as well as Radio Television Hong Kong's "Most Popular Japanese Artist". Born and raised in Fukuoka prefecture, she played live at various locations in her hometown before being noticed by Sony Music Entertainment Japan, Sony Music Japan when she was 17 years old, and released her debut single months later. is a 2005 Japanese science fiction film directed by Takahiko Akiyama and starring Masatoshi Nakamura, Kanata Hongo and Mikako Tabe. Overview A recent accident has left Satoru Iwamoto, an elementary school student, temporarily needing a wheelchair. In addition, the recent loss of his mother has thrown Satoru into a reclusive state, locking himself from the outside world. However, in an effort to help Satoru recover from his injuries, his father, Kaoru, has designed a remote-controlled robot that will go to school in his place and allow him to interact with people and do normal things. "Feel My Soul" is the first major label single by the Japanese artist Yui. It was released February 23, 2005, under Sony Records. This was Yui's first major single. Her previous single, "It's Happy Line", was released under Leaflet Records. The single was used as the opening theme to the J-Drama ''Fukigen na Gene''. During its first week on Oricon, the single reached a peak of 8th place and would go on to become the 95th highest selling single of 2005.
