Yu Qingjiang
Yu Qingjiang (; born September 1963) is a lieutenant general (''zhong jiang'') of the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) of China, serving as chief of staff of the People's Liberation Army Air Force since December 2017. Previously he served as president of the PLA Air Force Command College. He is a representative of the 19th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. Biography Yu was born in Nanjing, Jiangsu, in September 1963. He graduated from Air Force Political College, Russian Air Force Military Academy, Air Force Engineering University, and the PLA National Defence University. He served as commander of the 30th Air Force Aviation Division of Shenyang Military Region before being appointed as commander of the PLA Air Force Dalian Base in June 2007. Yu (Chinese Surname)
Yu is the pinyin romanisation of several Chinese family names. However, in the Wade–Giles romanisation system, Yu is equivalent to You (surname), You in pinyin. Shenyang Military Region
The Shenyang Military Region was one of seven military regions for the Chinese People's Liberation Army. It has command and control of military and armed police forces in the three northeast provinces of Jilin, Heilongjiang, and Liaoning, which also form Military Districts. This region is now superseded by the Northern Theater Command. The Shenyang Military Region was left with unchanged boundaries since the late 1960s. It is bordered internally by the Beijing Military Region to the west. Externally, it is bordered by North Korea to the south east and the Russian Far East to the north. Prior to the Cultural Revolution, military region commanders tended to remain in post for long periods. As the PLA took a stronger role in politics, this began to be seen as something of a threat to party (or, at least, civilian) control of the military. Ouyang Zhongshi () (October 1928 – 5 November 2020) was a Chinese actor, calligrapher, and singer. Biography He was director of Chinese Calligraphers Association and associate professor in Capital Normal University. Graduated from high school, Ouyang Zhongshi studied at Fu Jen Catholic University which merged into Beijing Normal University in 1952. A year later, he transferred to Philosophy Department of Peking University. His tutor was the Chinese philosopher and logician, Jin Yuelin. Lieutenant general (Lt Gen, LTG and similar) is a military rank used in many countries. The rank traces its origins to the Middle Ages, where the title of lieutenant general was held by the second-in-command on the battlefield, who was normally subordinate to a captain general. In modern armies, lieutenant general normally ranks immediately below general (or colonel general) and above major general; it is equivalent to the navy rank of vice admiral, and in air forces with a separate rank structure, it is equivalent to air marshal. Jinan Military Region
The Jinan Military Region was a PLA Military Region located in the east of the People's Republic of China, covering the Shandong and Henan Provinces, which also formed military districts. It appears that Yang Dezhi was one of the first commander of the Jinan MR, from 1958. It was considered a strategic reserve. It included some of the area previously within the Wuhan Military Region, which was disbanded in 1985–88. The 5th Air Corps was established in Weifeng, Shandong Province, in 1952, possibly from the disbanding 11th Corps, but was moved to Hangzhou in the Nanjing Military Region by 1954. After 1975 the 46th Army was transferred from Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province to Linyi, Shandong. It was disestablished in 1985.
