Youth and Dignity Left Movement (; MIJD) is a political party in Argentina. It was created by Raúl Castells in 2021 as a successor to the Independent Movement for Justice and Dignity. History In the 2021 legislative elections the party failed to pass the PASO. In the 2023 general election the party will compete in an internal one, on the one hand there will be Santiago Cúneo as president and Gustavo Barranco as vice president, the formula whose ideology hovers between nationalism, confederalism, anti-liberalism and bukelism. Raúl Castells
Raúl Castells (born 1950 in Rosario) is a controversial Argentine political activist. He was the leader of an organization called the (in Spanish: ''Movimiento Independiente de Jubilados y Desocupados'', MIJD), a '' piquetero'' group. In 2021, he founded the Youth and Dignity Left Movement (in Spanish: ''Movimiento Izquierda Juventud Dignidad'', MIJD). Castells moved in 1984 to Santa Fe, where he would spend the next twenty years. He has been detained a number of times under the administration of President Néstor Kirchner (2003–2007); he and his supporters have protested that he is being subject to political persecution. Though Castells has sympathizers in Argentina, many other people disagree with his views. Castells had a documentary made about him and his movement, called '' Raul The Terrible''. 2021 Argentine Legislative Election
Legislative elections were held in Argentina on 14 November 2021. Half of the seats in the Chamber of Deputies and a third of the seats in the Senate were renewed. The election had previously been scheduled to take place on 24 October 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Argentina. Open, Simultaneous and Mandatory Primaries (PASO) were previously scheduled to take place on 8 August 2021, but took place on 12 September 2021, having also been postponed due to COVID-19. There were proposals, backed by the ruling Frente de Todos, to scrap the primaries altogether due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The proposals were opposed by the Juntos por el Cambio opposition. Guevarism is a theory of communist revolution and a military strategy of guerrilla warfare associated with Marxist–Leninist revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara, a leading figure of the Cuban Revolution who believed in the idea of Marxism–Leninism and embraced its principles. Nayib Armando Bukele Ortez (; born 24 July 1981) is a Salvadoran politician and businessman who has served as the 81st president of El Salvador since 2019. In 1999, Bukele established an advertising company and worked at an advertising company owned by his father, Armando Bukele Kattán.
