Young Men (organization)
The Young Men (often referred to as Young Men's) is a youth ministry, youth organization and Auxiliary organization (LDS Church), official program of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). Its purpose is to assist the church's Aaronic priesthood (LDS Church), Aaronic priesthood-aged young men in their growth and development. The organization serves young men from the year they turn 12 until they are 18. History The first official youth association of the church—the Young Gentlemen's and Young Ladies’ Relief Society—was formally organized by youth in Nauvoo, Illinois, on the advice of church founder, Joseph Smith, in March 1843. President Of The Church (LDS Church)
The president of the church is the highest office of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). It was the office originally held by Joseph Smith, the church's founder. The church's president is its leader and is head of the First Presidency, its highest governing body. Latter-day Saints consider the president of the church to be a " prophet, seer, and revelator" and refer to him as "the Prophet", a title that was originally given to Smith. Scouting or the Scout Movement is a youth social movement, movement which became popularly established in the first decade of the twentieth century. Liahona (magazine)
''Liahona'' (formerly ''Tambuli'' in the English-language version) is an official magazine of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). It is named after the word liahona from the Book of Mormon. The magazine began publication in 1977. Prior to 2021, the magazine consisted of articles for children, youth, and adults, all of which were published concurrently in the church's English-language ''Ensign'', '' New Era'', and '' Friend'' magazines. Until the April 1995 edition, the English-language version of the magazine was called ''Tambuli''; other language versions of the magazine had different titles.
