"You Can't Fool Me Dennis" was the third single by Mystery Jets, released in October 2005. The song was later released as part of their début album, ''Making Dens'', albeit in a slightly altered, re-recorded form. Critical and commercial reception You Can't Fool Me Dennis was favourably received by the music press. Mark Moore of Contactmusic.com positively reviewed the single version, describing it as having a "fresh sound" and exemplifying the quality of the bands on the 2006 iteration of the NME ShockWaves tour. In his review of Making Dens, Stewart Mason of AllMusic characterized the song as an example of the "quirky, interesting pop songs" on the album, and likened it to a song from one of XTC's early albums with Barry Andrews as interpreted by Franz Ferdinand. Mystery Jets are an English indie rock band, formed on Eel Pie Island in Twickenham, London. The founding members still part of the band consist of Blaine Harrison (vocals, guitar and keyboards), Henry Harrison (lyrics), and Kapil Trivedi (drums). History Formation and early demos (2003) The band's first line-up consisted of Blaine Harrison on drums, William Rees on guitar and Henry Harrison (Blaine's father) on bass. Henry became a second guitarist in the band and they were joined by Kai Fish on bass and Tamara Pearce-Higgins on the organ. Kai joined the band after suggestions that they needed a bassist (he played the cello originally). Their original name was The Misery Jets, which was taken from an Evening Standard headline (Eel Pie Island is under the Heathrow flight path, where planes can be frequently spotted). Franz Ferdinand are a Scottish Rock music, rock band formed in Glasgow in 2002. Justice is a French electronic music duo consisting of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay. They are known for incorporating strong rock and disco influences into their music and image. The band's debut album ''Cross'' was released in June 2007 to critical acclaim. Barry Andrews (born 12 September 1956) is an English songwriter, singer and keyboard player who is a co-founder of Shriekback and was formerly a member of XTC and the League of Gentlemen. 679 Artists (formally known as Sixsevenine and 679 Recordings) was a Warner Music Group-owned record label based in London, England. It was started by Nick Worthington who after leaving XL Recordings in 2001, started the company with Warner Music Group, and holds the position of MD and A&R Director. It is named "679" as this was the address of the Pure Groove record shop on A1 in London#Holloway Road, Holloway Road. The label's first release was The Streets' debut, ''Original Pirate Material'' (which was named ''The Observer''s best album of the 2000s). The label progressed with subsequent albums from artists including Death From Above 1979, The Futureheads, Kano (rapper), Kano, King Creosote and Mystery Jets, and also included the million-selling second Streets album, ''A Grand Don't Come for Free''.
