Yorvit Torrealba
Yorvit Adolfo Torrealba (; born July 19, 1978) is a Venezuelan former professional baseball catcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Francisco Giants, Seattle Mariners, Colorado Rockies, San Diego Padres, Texas Rangers, Toronto Blue Jays and Milwaukee Brewers. He bats and throws right-handed. Professional career San Francisco Giants Torrealba signed with the San Francisco Giants as a minor league free agent on September 14, 1994. Catcher
Catcher is a position in baseball and softball. When a batter takes their turn to hit, the catcher crouches behind home plate, in front of the (home) umpire, and receives the ball from the pitcher. In addition to this primary duty, the catcher is also called upon to master many other skills in order to field the position well. The role of the catcher is similar to that of the wicket-keeper in cricket. Positioned behind home plate and facing toward the outfield, the catcher can see the whole field, and is therefore in the best position to direct and lead the other players in a defensive play. Dwight Randolph Winn (born June 9, 1974) is an American former professional baseball player and is currently the vice president of player development for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball (MLB). Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. Jesse William Foppert (; born July 10, 1980) is an American former Major League Baseball pitcher. High school and collegiate career Foppert attended San Rafael High School where he was a two-time all-MCAL player as a shortstop. He then went to the University of San Francisco. He went 8–4 with a 3.75 ERA in 16 games during 2001. Foppert was then selected in the 2nd round (74th overall) by the San Francisco Giants in the 2001 Major League Baseball Draft. Professional career After immediately signing with the Giants, Foppert was assigned to the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, the Giants Low Single A team. Michael Scott Matheny (born September 22, 1970) is an American former professional baseball player and former manager. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for 13 seasons as a catcher for the Milwaukee Brewers, Toronto Blue Jays, St. Louis Cardinals, and San Francisco Giants.
