Yoon Young-bin
Yoon Young-bin () is a South Korean aerospace engineer and the first Administrator of the Korea AeroSpace Administration. Career Yoon has been a professor at the Department of Aeronautics and Space Sciences at Seoul National University since 1996. He has conducted research on liquid rockets and gas turbine engines for over 40 years, and participated in the development of Naro-1 and Nuri, and the first phase of the Korean Lunar Exploration Program. He also served as the director of the SNU Aerospace New Technology Research Institute and the director of the Next Generation Space Propulsion Research Center. Korea AeroSpace Administration
The Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA; ) is a Korean government-funded space and aeronautics agency. Established under the Ministry of Science and ICT, KASA oversees the Korea Aerospace Research Institute and Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute. Its headquarters is located in Sacheon, South Gyeongsang Province. Naro-1 (), previously designated the Korea Space Launch Vehicle or KSLV (also KSLV-1), was South Korea's first carrier rocket, and the first South Korean launch vehicle to achieve low Earth orbit, Earth orbit. Nuri (; , meaning 'world' in native Korean language, Korean), also known as KSLV-II (Korean Space Launch Vehicle-II), is a Multistage rocket, three-stage launch vehicle, the second one developed by South Korea and the successor to Naro-1 (KSLV-1). Korean Lunar Exploration Program () is led by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI), which develops lunar orbiters and landers.
