A Watcher (Aramaic עִיר ''ʿiyr'', plural עִירִין ''ʿiyrin'', Greek: ἐιρ or ἐγρήγορος, '' egrḗgoros'') is a type of biblical angel. The word is related to the root meaning to be awake.
