Yohioloid
Yohioloid (stylized as YOHIOloid) is an English Vocaloid developed VocaTone and distributed by PowerFX who also has an additional Japanese voice bank. The vocalist sampled for his vocals was Swedish singer Yohio. He was released for Vocaloid 3. Development Yohioloid was developed as a special vocal with an aim at rock music and Visual kei. VocaTone began production of another vocal following the release of Oliver. Yohio, by rare opportunity, offered himself and his vocal was put on priority due to its English/Japanese potential. His vocal was recorded in Sundsvall, Yohio's hometown at the Ninetone Studios. Following a series of rumours, it was later confirmed that Yohio was going to voice a bilingual Vocaloid with English and Japanese capabilities. Yohio himself confirmed this through a tweet. Vocaloid 3
Vocaloid 3 is a singing voice synthesizer and successor to Vocaloid 2 in the Vocaloid series. This version of the software is a much more expansive version, containing many new features, three new languages and many more vocals than past software versions combined. It was succeeded by Vocaloid 4. History Vocaloid 3 launched on October 21, 2011, along with several products in Japanese product, the first of its kind. Several studios are providing updates to allow Vocaloid 2 vocal libraries to come over to Vocaloid 3. PowerFX Systems AB, commonly referred to simply as PowerFX, was a small recording company, based in Stockholm, Sweden. The company has been producing music samples, loops and sound effects since 1995. They also developed singing synthesizers using the VOCALOID engine developed by Yamaha Corporation. Vocaloid
is a singing Speech synthesis, voice synthesizer software product. Its signal processing part was developed through a joint research project between Yamaha Corporation and the Music Technology Group at Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona. The software was ultimately developed into the commercial product "Vocaloid" that was released in 2004. The software enables users to synthesize "singing" by typing in lyrics and melody and also "speech" by typing in the script of the required words. It uses synthesizing technology with specially recorded vocals of voice actors or singers. To create a song, the user must input the melody and lyrics. A piano roll type interface is used to input the melody and the lyrics can be entered on each note. The software can change the stress of the pronunciations, add effects such as vibrato, or change the dynamics and tone of the voice. Kevin Johio Lucas Rehn Eires (born 12 July 1995), known professionally as Yohio (stylized as YOHIO), is a Swedish singer and songwriter. He is best known for his performances as Yohio, wearing a lolita dress in previous years, with an androgynous appearance on stage.
